Mokuba looked at his siblings. 'What happened to him?"
Seto chuckled. "I think all of this drove him mad."
"No." Seto looked up at the dark magician. "My master fears that he can't save his friends when they need him, that without his puzzle, they are doomed."
Tristan frowned. "Wait a minute....Yugi thinks he needs to save us?"
"Yup."
Tristan rolled up his sleeves. "That little...."
Raia watched as Tristan stormed over to Yugi as he sat on the ground, trying to mash the pieces together. "What is he doing?"
They all gasped as Tristan picked up the puzzle and smashed it. Seto looked over at her. "Living out my fantasy?"
"TRISTAN!"
Tristan picked Yugi up and shook him. "I am tired of you using that damn thing as a crutch! You think you need that thing to save us, but you don't!"
"Then how can I save you?"
Tristan let out a yell and punched him. Kaikou ran and restrainted him. "You idiot, we don't need your help always! Have some faith in us for once! You don't need to be our protector always! You don't need to turn to that damn piece of metal! Give us a chance to save ourselves.....give yourself a chance to save yourself."
Yugi looked at him,a dn wiped his eyes. "Your right."
Everyone looked at Tristan, shocked. Mokuba tugged Raia's sleeve. "Are we in another dream world, one where Tristan is smart?"
"HEY!"
Yugi sighed, and looked at his friends. "Your right. I have learned a lot from that puzzle, I can protect myself now. And my friends have grown up too! They don't need me to save them, because they are just as strong as any magic it could make!"
The cube rumbled, and the pzzle pieces flew together, reforming. IT floated into Yugi's hands, and he put it on. He understood now that he didn't need to fear not having his puzzle, since now, he know him and his friends could survive without it. It wasn't necessary, it was merely a convenience.
Yugi watched as they found themselves now in a long tunnel. "Guys, lets go find the others, and help them in whatever way we can."
"We will see. I summon Nightmare Horse to the field!"
Joey chuckled. "How will that help? IT's too weak to take out my Dragon."
"Who said it would attack the dragon. My horse can attack you directly!" Jeoy's eyes grew wide as the horse raced at him, it's blue flames glowing red as it tackled him. Jeoy staggered up, and touched his face, and cringed as a piece of skin fluttered off. "You are getting closer to joining us. Now, I will activate the Coffin of Life. This card will protect my monster from any attacks while I have a monster on the field." The horse was surrounded by a large coffin, but Joey could sense it in there, waiting. (Joey-1300)
At that moment, the crypt shuddered. Carta looked around. "Hurry up and make your move!"
Joey frowned. Carta had gotten scared now. What was going on? Why was the mausoleum shaking?
"I summon...."
The crypt wall shattered, and Kevin and Serenity looked at the field, another Red Eyes Black Dragon powering down from an attack, returning to it's card.. Serenity looked at the monsters. "Look at all the zombies!"
Kevin looked at Joey and pulled Serenity against his shirt. "Don't look at your brother now, trust me."
"But I want to see him! Let me go!"
Joey looked at Kevin,a dn then at his rotting body. "Good idea."
"What is going on big brother?" Serenity asked.
"Listen to Dr. Kevin sis."
Carta cleared his throat. "And you are...?"
"Dr. Kevin Allen, nice to meet you, and you?"
"Carta, father of Marrow."
Kevin looked at him. "Oh yes, Marrow. What an idiot." He smiled. "I have seen Skull Servants smarter then that half-wit."
Carta fumed. "Shut up! You didn't know him!"
Kevin winked at Joey. "Please, him and his son are fools. I kicked his ass at the tournament so easily....."
Carta's tiger roared, and raced at Kevin. Suddenly, it shattered. "NO!" Carta looked up to see 4 figures floating above Kevin.
"You are not the only one that knows how to use the undead. May I present Patrician of Darkness, Vampire Lord and Mistress, and my most powerful creature, the Count of Shift." The American Vampire, with his short, slicked back white hair, his pale skin, black suit, with the jacket top hanging off his shoulders like an old time mobster, and his broad smile, looked at the others and laughed, and pulled out a cane and spining it. Carta looked to Dr. Kevin Allen and the monster, seeing a strange resemblance.e. "Now, release Wheeler!" All four undead creatures nodded, barring their fangs.
Carta shook his head. "Only if he can beat me."
Kevin nodded, and waved his hand. His four vampires frowned, but followed his order and flew down, guarding Serenity. Kevin stepped over to Joey. "Are you alright?"
"Yes, just fine, peachy keen. I mean, it is a bit cold, but hey, you have to be positive.....DO I LOOK ALRIGHT?!?!?!?!"
"You look like a bad movie extra."
Joey pointed a bony finger at Kevin. "Are you here to mock me or help me?"
"Help you. There is one card in your deck that can win you the duel. Let's hope heart of the cards works...." Kevin looked down as Joey's heart fell out of his chest. "If you don't have one."
Joey nodded. "I will set these two cards, and summon Great Angus to the field. Now, attack his downface card my beast!" The enraged monster ran across the mausoleum and bit into the coffin, only to shatter the final Pyramid Turtle.
"I summon Spirit Reaper in defense mood. Now, you can't win!" Carta cackled, and the 4 vampires looked at him in anger.
"How so?"
Carta smiled. "My Reaper is a phantom, no attack can hit him. As such, as long as he lives.....as it were, so does my horse."
Agile groaned as he pulled himself from the wreckage. Amanda had pinned him against a beam, and he had the bright idea of throwing his ring. Didn't think that it would take out the supports, bringing the entire build down on him.
He flapped his wings, the dust forming clouds around his knees. He looked around and sighed. She was dead.
"Darkness Sorm!"
Agile let out a cry as dark energy slammed into him, driving him into the ground. He looked up to see Amanda flying overhead, her staff glowing. The sky was filled with clouds, al swaying and moving with her flight. "Give in Agile, you can't destroy me!"
Agile struglled to his feet, his ring glowing. "I am not beaten yet!" His rign glowed, and slowly unfolded, the spikes on one end connecting and forming a hilt, the ring now a buster sword. He spun it, the golden surface raging with flames. "Taste the flames of Hell!" He leapt in the air, delievering his attack. Amanda let out a startled cry, and crashed into the roof of a nearby building. Her hand glowed and she outstretched her palm. From it, a cloud of locus poured out, swarming Agile. His eyes grew wide, and he rushed into the sky, trying to dodge the little pests. The clicked and clattered after him, tipping at his coat.
"Eat this vermin." Agile's eyes glowed orange, and he turned, his body ingulfed in flames. The Locus turned, fearing him, and were driven back at Amanda. She waved and they disappeared, but Agile continued his decent. "This is for Amy!"
Amanda chanted, and a shield formed around her. Agile hit it full force, but continued to drill into it. She gruted, trying to make her magic hold, but it was no use. The shield shattered, and both were driven from the building. Agile grabbed her, and charged flight paths, heading straight into the air, then dive bombed into the river.
Seto chuckled. "I think all of this drove him mad."
