"They can hear us, you know?" Agile said softly. "They are on the roof."

Amanda and Geno looked up painfully to see that the whole group, from Yami to Guy to Seto to Tristan, were infact watching them, shock and horror on their face. Amanda coughed. "I put up a barrier. They can't get to us....but they can hear us."

Geno grunted and looked over at Agile then Amanda, both who grimaced as they sunk down. "I don't care." He sighed. "I'm a joke. I go about, hanging out with children who don't even know what a priest in Egypt was, sleeping with people who should be growing up to look in my tomb.....just give me a car shaped lieka penis and I have officially had a mid-life crisis."

"About about me!" Agile said. "I was so busy dedicating my life to killing my parents that I turned into them. I abandoned my wife, my..." He ran out of breath and just laid there.

"I have no memory of my mother." Amanda said quietly, the thought bubbling into her brain. "I mean...I know I should....but I don't."

"What about your dad?" Geno asked.

To this, Amanda lauhed...for a moment, till the laugh turned into a cough. "That's where my life gets twisted." She looked at Geno. "My father is Destiny." She laid he head back down. "How is that for screwed up, you two are my half brothers. I married my half brother."

Geno nodded. "Maybe that explains Guy." The two former lovers smiled at the joke about their son's....abnormal temper. "Any other little secrets I don't know?"

"Gala is our daughter."

Geno looked at her. "How is that a secret?"

Amanda raised an eyebrow. "You know!?!"

Geno smiled. "A month after we meet, She got hurt in a fight and we need to get her to the hospital. Turned out the mage we fought had destoried her Kidneys with a nasty little attack. I volentered to donate one, knowing then that for some reason, I could lose an organ and ti would regenerate. Now I know it's because of the godhood, but back then, I figured it was another little thing to do with me being the legendary warrior. Well, the doctor comes back, and guess what?" He stopped, and took some breaths. "Me and Gala are related. He is amazied I didn't say so, because he could have given her the kidneys without the whole testing. Shocked the hell out of me. And it suddenly hit me, who the mother ahd to be...."

Agile frowned. "Why didn't you tell her."

"The same reason I told her not to follow you and me: I don't want her to become me. I wanted her to have a nice, normal life, to be able to watch her daughter play in a sandbox and have her husband give her a rose on valentine's day; not be looking for people to kill in the park or wondering if the rose is meant to be poisonous. I don't want her to live a weapon's life."

Amanda flexed her arm. "I think we're heal...." She screamed in agony as she sat up, and fell to the ground. "Nope.....so, what is a weapon's life?"

Geno closed his eyes, and tears formed. "To live a life of pain, alone, where all you love leaves because you can't be there, because you have to be somewhere else. That's what my life has been. My first wife is dead, my second wife was...well, you." He said, causing Amanda to merely nod. "My daughters both never had me as a father, and when I try to be a father, I brought them pain and loneliness. And my son...." He broke down. "My son is fucked up because his parents us him for their own ill gain!"

"You know those weak pieces in chess?" Amanda asked.

"A blockheaded bishop?" Agile asked.

"No, a pawn. We are pawns." She feebly pointed at the sky. "They never cared about us. It was always, "Go do this, go do that...." And then, when you did there job, there was another one." She sighed. "And you know what the reward is? Nothing. You get to die alone, for some battle you didn't start or didn't finish..." She closed her eyes, and for the first time in her life, tears rolled down her cheeks.

Agile was also trying to hold back his feelings. "And maybe, maybe you do finish the battle. And you look back, and realize that what you were fighting for....you can never have. IT's gone to you, that happiness you wanted. Your life became fighting. That's the irony.....You fight to get happiness, but you can never have happiness if you fight, becomes you wake up one day realizing you're a warrior with no war...." He sighed. "I'm sorry Amy."

"Dr. Kevin was right."

Agile turned and looked at his brother. "I don't foll..." he groaned as he moved to far, and reutnred to laying on his back.

Geno smiled. "I remember acing him in the finals, and I asked him, "Do you think something up there helped you get here?" You know what he said?"

"What?" Amanda asked.

"'No.....there are no gods, not in what we wish they were. Maybe.....maybe they once had a grand plan to try and help us...but that fell apart long ago. They are like the neighbors you knew that would bake you cookies in the summer, who move away and never come back. And even though they never really didn't do much else, even though you still live on.....you still want the cookies.'"

Amanda looked up and shouted, "Was it too much to ask that we get some love?!? And I don't mean this shit ass version of love me and Geno got, I mean real love!"

Agile nodded. "Apparently, people like us don't deserve love." He grunted as his wounds healed. He stood up and watched as Geno and Amanda did the same.

"We only get pity and hate." Amanda said.

Geno nodded, and lifted his sword. "And we get one gift....we get to die, and not have to fight anymore. " He paused. "Fuck their plan."

Amanda and Agile looked at him. Amanda smiled. "What, want us to team up and take them out?"

"You wish." Gneo said. "No....I ain't playing into their design. I'm not goignt o kill you Amanda because some glorious god told me to..." He smiled and raised his weapon. "I'm going to kill you because it will finally allow yout o sleep. No more thinking, no more fighting....just peace."

Amanda smiled at this. "Well, I will make sure to give you two the same gift."

The brothers nodded, and charged her.
