Gala watched Geno, her hands gripping her shirt repeatedly. He had known! He had known he was her father, and never said a word! How could he do that? How could he have just let her go on like that? All those nights, her thinking about the life she had left, about her "parents"....when he was her real family. She just wanted to grab him and strangle him....she had cried herself to sleep on his sleeves about her mother and father when he was more of a father then them. And now...it was official.

And while she was mad at him, she was also so sorry for everything she had done. All those times, when she had told him about her parents, about the things they use to do together: the family outings, the games they had played, all those happy times...I always knew there was a weird look in his eye... she trembled.

Kaikou looked at her sister....sister, she would have ahrd time getting use to saying that about the woman to her left. Gala was the oldest mortal there, in her mid twenties. And even though kaikou was ages old, she still felt like a teenager most of the time.

"It willb e fine." Kaikou said, taking Gala's hand and giving it a squeeze.

"How do you know that?" Gala asked softly.

"She is our big sister, so she has to lie to us." Guy looked at them as he held Raia tightly, her face buried in his chest; she couldn't watch this anymore. Geno had been her father for half of her life, it hurt her just as much to see him being ripped apart, to be giving up; as it did Gala, Kaikou and Guy. "He'll be fine....he'll find a way...both of them will.

Yet still, on all four of their lips, a single word pasted as Amanda kicked Agile away and drove her staff at Geno's chest.

"Daddy...."

Seto looked at Geno and Agile, his face twisted into a hateful scowl. You fought all these years, all this time, and your giving up now!?!? Your so close you idiots! He punched the barrier, frustrated. He never had figured out how to stand on the sidelines, to watch a fight. He always wanted to be in the thick of it.

You called me Joey.... Seto thought with a small smile, watching as Geno slowly raised up. ...just to get me to stop and think about how stupid I was sometimes. You always wanted me to be better, to think things out, to plan it o.....

Seto watched as his mentor, his friend, his godfather; stood up and raised his sword with his brother. This is a plan, isn't it? You two need her to get desperate, so she screws up and you can kill her without activating the damn Prophecy about one of your's death.....Geno's rule of combat 1: Nothing is as it seems.

Yami grimaced. "That had to hurt."

Yugi nodded as Geno shook his head, clearing the cobwebs from his brain, a result of a head butt Amanda had delievered. He gulped, and closed his eyes as agile screamed, one of Amanda's magic blasts charring his flesh. Even though they were far away, he swore he could smell it, the aroma of burning skin.

"How can they fight like this?" He asked softly.

"I don't know Yug." Joey answered, his normally loud voice reduced to a whisper, his eyes glued to the combatants. He cringed as Geno let out a battle cry and spun his sword, nearly hacking Amanda's left leg off, twisting the sword around the wound, smiling at the sound of bone cracking.

"It's because they are angels." Mai said, just as upset as all of them. "I mean, a normal person should have died a few hours ago, but these guys were created to fight...."

"No." Yami said. His friends looked at him as he gulped down the lumo now forming in his throat. He was remembering something, something from his past....

"You remember seeing Geno fight before, don't you?" Yugi asked his other half. Yami nodded slowly, his eyes looking off in the distance as the swords clashed against the staff. His body began to sweat, and he had to keep breathing to make sure he wasn't going to pass out.

"It was after I imprisoned Kaikou.....I received a message from one of the guards, that an army of light....THE army of light....were marching towards us,a nd at the helm were a goddess and some sort of..." Yami paused. "The word doesn't exist in this time..." He tired to think of a way to describe the fear he now saw on the guards face. He couldn't remember his name, nothing like that....but what was coming back were memories that scared him, scared him to the very core of his being. "It was as if heaven had opened up, and something even the gods feared had been released."

"So, I rushed out of the palace...and I go to the watch tower, and see it: the armies of Greece, Kappa Neo in the lead with the goddess Athena, giving commands. I don't remember which of my servants said it, but I can hear their words: You have comdemed us all to death."

Kappa walked up to the walls of the city, and called for me to come forth and surrender..." Yami smiled. "Back then, I must have become cocky, because I told my men to attack him. They threw spears and other weapons, but he brushed them away, and leapt into the air....and I don't mean like, "Oh, let me jump up to touch that street light" I mean, he leapt over 1000 feet in the air."

Yami paused, and watched as Agile blocked one of amanda's spells that had been coming at Geno's throat, sending it back with a twist of his wrist. "When he landed on the wall, his sword embedded, he just got this sort of smile....and then the wall shattered. And I mena, this was a 30 foot wall, decided to ekpp armies out, and he reduced it: He was a human still, not a god, not an angel....human. He brought half of my forces to their graves that day, and still, when he was done, when he had me alone, he only asked for the Millenium Heart..."

Joey scratched his head. "What are you sayin'?"

"I'm saying that Geno fights because he wants something....and if he wants something hard enough, he'll get...."

Every thought stopped, as they all heard Geno scream in agony.
