Kaos howled in pain as his father's sword slashed his chest, making it hard to breath. He leapt back, and paused as his body healed the wound. He watched as Destiny charged his blade with magic, and chanted.

The crimson energy crashed into the invisible shield he had created, and he stopped to look as he was incased in a shell of flames. Inspiration stuck as he considered the fact that his father, a time god, could summon fire. Maybe it was possible for gods of their strength to summon many elemental powers, the same way a powerful magician could summon more then just one elemental magic. He focused, and gripped his sword, blade pointed straight down to the tar beneath him. He began to twist the handle, feeling his hands warm the leather, followed by the cross bar, feeling his magic entering it's length. He waited, and when he sensed his father's attention was fully emersed in turning him into a marshmallow, he stabbed the blade downward.

Destiny was about to pump more fire into the attack, feeling the shield breaking...when he suddenly found the roof beneath him shift. He looked down to see a creak form below him. "Is that all you can muster son? An earthquake spell?"

When his son didn't answer, Destiny totally undid his fire spell, trying to see if he had killed the boy and that's why the spell failed. What he saw was Kaos channeling all of the fire his father had sent at the shield into his sword.

The sword buried in this fissure... Destiny realized. Kaos opened his eyes, and at that moment, a geyser of flames rocketed out of the crack, sending Destiny leaping out of the way, his body charred black. He screamed in agony as he avoided another rush, his body rapidly healing the scars and leaving him back in perfect health.

Now, if I could do that one more time.... Kaos thought bitterly, using his mind to sned the crack moving at his father. Destiny stopped, and right when the fire was released, he held up his hand, causing the flames to fly in the air, forming a serpent-like wave that twisted around the elder god before it flew straight at the younger god.

Kaos looked down, and turned to the fissure to once more. It had melted slightly, but still filled with oil. Well, it would be. He focused, and felt the tar turn liquid, and lift up. The flames hit it, the oil and rock catching on fire instantly. Kaos lifted his hand, and the rocks spiraled into the sky. I am the god of the stars....I think this plague will work perfectly!

Destiny looked up as meteorites fell towards him. His body twisted as the hellstones rained down, punching massive holes into the roof of the college. Kaos used this to his advantage, sending all the burning wreckage up and forming new flaming balls of death.

Destiny leapt up, flying through the dizzying field of flames and stone, before he finally hovered above Kaos, his sword pointed down. He watched as his son got the message: This was a challenge, a battle in the air. Kaos understood that he would be the one handicapped in that fight, his father having bore his wings for millenniums, while Kaos had only had his for a few short months. Still, he was going to prove himself to the gods, and that meant facing his fear.

He rose to his father's altitude, and gave a nod. Reach races their blades in attack position, and with a final glare, flew straight at the other.

Nephthys watched the entire battle from the other side of town. She turned and gave a look at the humans as they all stood their, mouths open, watching as Kaos sent the meteorites at his father. You don't need to be immortal to be able to see this show. she though sadly. They should keep moving, it wasn't safe here. None of Japan was safe....no where in the world is safe She realized. These two were the top gods, and there truly was no section of reality that could contain their power.

As Destiny dodged the attacks, she felt a tug on her robes. She looked way down to see the little one...Mokuba She thought, her mind finding the name from her searches of the world. That was one of the best things about being a goddess: You could call upon knowledge to appear. Of course, names were easy. A simple sweep of people's minds would bring that up. Now, Algebra...that even the gods had trouble figuring out.

"Yes?" She asked.

Mokuba paused, startled that her voice seemed to come from all over. She closed her eyes, then opened them. "Sorry, I forget our voices do that when mortals talk to us. That, along with those damn angels singing whenever we ascend, is one of the many little announces that come with this job." Mokuba gave her a look. "Er....what can I do for ya?"

"What happens if Ge...Kaos wins?"

Nephthys smiled. "If your friend Geno wins, then he will become our king. And if I am right about him, he will undo all the evil that his father and mother did...which, I won't go into detail, was a lot."

"What did they do?"

Neph resisted the smile. Humans, so like children....wait, this was a child....damn it! Kaos really needs to win, so I can finally come to earth and be around them.

"Well, one thing he did was prevent any god from coming to earth. He preferred that we stay away from the humans and just sat around, worshiping him. That's why so much evil ahs happened: Because we weren't there to stop it." She paused. "did you know that humans use to live forever? But Destiny took that away. He hates humans, because Kaos was among them. As such, he didn't want them to have any extra power that his sons could tap into."

Mokuba nodded. "And if Destiny wins, everything stays the same."

"Not quite." Neph said. "If Destiny wins, there won't be anyone left to fear getting mad and killing him. He will wipe out the earth, with every single human meeting their maker. Of course, since Destiny is everyone's maker if he's king, he will turn everyone into his slaves, including the gods. In toehr words: His Kaos loses, we're screwed."

"So your rooting for Kaos because you don't want that?"

"That, and the fact she loves him."

Neph turned and stared down Isis. "And how would you know that?"

Isis laughed. "I may have been unable to stop myself from doing evil, but I still could see you making eyes at him." She leanedc in close. "I also heard the rumors about what you two did in Greece.....take a page out of Zeus' book?"

Neph paled as Mokuba frowned. "What did she do?"

"She screamed my son's na.."

"LOOK!"

Everyone turned to see Joey pointing at Kaos as he lifted into the air. The two goddesses frowned. "Oh no...." Isis said. She turned to Gala. "Shield, now!"

"What's wrong?" Galanodel asked as she summoned the barrier.

"They are going to unleash their power....this will not end well."

Everyone held their breath as Kaos and Destiny rushed each other, their bodies leaving ripples in the sky. Isis and Neph began to add their own barriers to the one Gala put up, hoping it would be enough.

Kaos and Destiny collided.
