The explosion that followed was heard miles away, the light produced from it for hundreds. It wasn't enough to blind someone, but enough to make you wonder what the hell had just happened. This was followed by the sonic boom that produced 70 mile per hour winds.
The ring of energy rippled across the globe, and when it finally meet at the opposite end of the planet, it shot straight into space. News crews were called, scientists gathered, and everyone wanted to know what the hell had happened.
Kaos and Destiny clashed their swords together with such strength that if the weapons had been anything but godly, they would have shattered long ago. But neither was focusing on the hits. This was no longer a wizards battle or a swordsman's battle.
Destiny smiled as his son's sword shook from a strike. No, this is a battle of the gods. And you have only fought like the mortals. You don't realize you must will the pain into me, force me to feel it. No...you believe if you push yourself, you'll win. It is the other way, you need to push me. But that is why you humans are weak!
With this thought, he punched Kaos in the gut. Before the younger god could recover, Destiny had already spun around, delivering a double fist to his son's spine. Kaos plummeted to the ground, smashing into Main street Domino, a massive crater the proof of the fall.
He pulled himself out, only to get hit by his father's energy. He screamed as he crashed into an office building, destroying the supports and sending it down on him. Good, let him think I am dead. Then I can regroup and...
Destiny chose that moment to grab him by the throat and ripp him from the rubble. His father leaned in, snearing with disgust to see his son's bruised and bloodied face. It wasn't because he felt any emotion for the child, it was because Kaos looked so much like him and his father, Kaos' grandfather. The old man had tried to stop him in his quest for power, and now him and his wife, Destiny's mother, were trapped in one of Destiny's prison worlds, held in status.
"Say what they will about me...." He inched in closer. "...But I love toture."
Kaos grunted as his father began to fly up. "Where are we going? Chuck E. Cheese?"
Destiny sighed. "No...we're going to your adoptive home."
Kaos' eyes went wide, and then, they were gone.
Kaikou and Yami looked at each other as they began to fade. The powers of the gods that had allowed them to separate from their human hosts was gone, and now, they were rejoining.
After a few seconds, Yami and Kaikou ahd returned to their spirit forms, but Raia allowed her other half to take control. Kaikou promptly looked up to see Shadow Tamer standing there. Funny, I had forgotten all about them....
"Why didn't you help him!" She shouted up at the spirit of her mother.
Shima sighed. "He wouldn't let me. He didn't let any of us help him." She smiled. "But it doesn't matter."
"Why's that?"
"Because there is one thing in this crazy world that I have learned. It is something Kappa told Neph, long ago: What Kappa wants, Kappa gets. And when he decides he wants to stop playing games and kill his father....pray for mercy for Destin, because Kappa will give him none."
