-A few Hours later-
Kaos and Neph stood alone in the desert, looking at the two people in front of them. They had seen them so many times...yet..this was so strange.
Kaos looked at Shima, then over at himself...yet not him. It was his mortal self, dressed in the armor of the Marauder. He tilted his head. "This is weird."
The Maraduer chuckled. "IT actually isn't. Think of it like this: I am a Ka you created to enable yourself to appear on earth. It's kinda like what Mahado did to appear as the Dark Magician, only the other way around. When you finally returned to normal....or ascended, I was free to finally become what I was meant to be: A Ka that lives in the shadow realm with the love of my life."
Shima nodded, and turned to Neph. "I knew this from the beginning....knew what he was. Remember what I told you...that day at Mt. Olympus?"
Neph nodded, remembering the conversation clearly. It had confused her before hand...but now...it made sense "You said, 'I am not mad that you two were together....for I understand that you two are to be together. But now is not the time. For now, you must wait for him, and when he is ready and becomes who he is suppose to be....then he will be yours.'"
Shima nodded as the Marauder kissed the back of her neck. "And with that, it is time for you two to finally belong to each other."
The Marauder nodded. "Kaos...watch over our children for me. I will be there on the other side, in the shadow realm...you watch them on this side."
And with that, the two Kas faded. Kaos and Nephthys looked at each other and smiled. Neph sank into Kaos' arms as he held her close. He stroked her side and grinned. "So....we belong to each other?"
Neph chuckled. "I guess so....so...what shall we do, my king?"
Kaos frowned. "I do not like that title....but I guess I have to keep it. But first, I need to right something." With that, he slowly circled his finger along Nephthy's forehead. She looked at him, and then flet metal touch her scalp and hair. She reached up, and felt the crown that had formed.
"Kaos...."
He turned her and
looked right into her eyes. "Every king needs his queen."
And
with that, Kaos and Nephthys kissed each other, 5000 years from the
first time they had kissed at the boundary of Greece. The stars lit
up, the earth trembled and the air was filled with energy as the new
king and his chosen queen rose in the arm and flew together back to
Kaos' home.
-Two weeks later-
"Domino is safe, Geno is our king, and we have Demons on the way."
Veronica Noga, head of the MIB, looked over Kevin's report. She looked up at him, sitting as he always did: His feet on her desk, a grin on his face.
"I say, all in all, we did good."
Veronica frowned. "Ya, I really trust Geno roads to be king of the gods." She sighed. "We'll have to keep a close watch on this."
"Don't we always." Kevin sat up, his legs off the desk. He leaned in close. "miss me?"
Veronica smiled. "No." He grinned. "Ok, I did....god damn, what kind of hold do you have on me vampire boy?"
Dr. Kevin chuckled and moved to her side of the desk. He stroked her back. "Hey, can I help it that I inherited the tongue of the devil?" He leaned in to kiss her, and she pushed him away.
"People can see us!"
"So can those phantoms. I don't care." He lifted her chin up and gave her a soft, slow kiss. When he pulled away, she was wearing his grin.
"Tell me....how did you handle wiping Tristan and Serenity's minds?" Dr. Kevin moved away from her. "Kevin....KEVIN! You have to wipe their minds! Unless you're MIB, you can't know of our existence!"
Kevin chuckled. "Exactly."
"Would you look at this place!"
Veronica looked at Dr. Kevin and frowned. "You didn't." He turned and walked down the stairs. She ran to her door, watching him. "You wouldn't!"
Kevin stopped, and looked over two people, a boy and a girl. "Tristan, Serenity, welcome to MIB."
Serenity turned to Tristan. "You know, when I said I wanted a summer job...."
Tristan chuckled. "Look at this place."
"Get use to it boys and girls, this is your new home." Kevin gave a wave at Veronica, who was shaking her head. "Now, let's get you tow into the last suits you'll ever wear."
-1 year later-
Goodbye Gala
It had been Yami's last message he never got to deliver. He had dueled the boy who had housed his soul, and to his joy, had lost. Yugi, who had started out as a shy boy, had truly grown up. At that moment, he had been allowed to leave the world of the living, and rest.
He had said goodbye to everyone...except the woman that held his heart. Gala, aka Michelle, had refused to go. She had simply walked away when he left, crying. It had broken his heart, and was his only regret.
Now, he was being lead through the halls of the dead, to be admitted into heaven. He looked around at the walls, to see pictures depicting the history of the wall. He now knew everything: How he had almost died at the hands of Bakura the thief, how 2 years later, he had betrayed his wife and sealed Kaikou and tortured Kappa Neo. It made sense why Geno had wanted him dead. He would have wanted himself dead.
He saw all his duels, he saw Duelist Kingdom, Battle City, the battle with Atlantis, the KC Grand Prix, the Weapons race with Geno, the second Battle City...
Gala.
He saw Gala, dueling him, Dark Paladin to Paladin.
HE turned away from the images, forcing his mind to remember that he needed to leave that world. He could never have been with her, it would have been unfair to Yugi....
"Step forward."
Yami took a breath, and approached the god of the dead. The dark cloaked god looked at him, and then commanded a scroll from a servant angel. "Name?"
"Pharaoh Atemu." Yami said. "I have finally arrived."
The god nodded, and took a look at the scroll. He paused, and read it again. "I am sorry, but you must give me a real name."
"But that is my name!"
"No, see, right here...." He pointed to a name. "Atemu is already here.....The god called for an angel to look Yami over.
"He lies my lord. He is Yami Moto."
Yami's jaw dropped. "What are you..."
The god sighed. "Take him back and remake him a body. And send this little liar back to earth." The god smiled. "And go get your woman."
As Yami disappeared, one of the god's servants frowned. "My lord Hades, that was really Atemu...why did we lie?"
Hades smiled and looked up, not speaking to the angel. "You do me a solid, I do you a solid."
Kaos rubbed Gala's shoulders, and looked up into the sky. "I know you miss him."
Gala nodded. "I wish I had come. Instead, I got mad..." She rested her head on her father's shoulder. He stroked her hair, and looked up at the stars, making them turn into a smiley face. When she didn't smile, he allowed them to move back.
"You have to get over him." She sniffed, resisting tears. "He's not going to drop out of the sky."
"AAAAAAAAAA!!!!"
Kaos looked up, only to have Yami land right on top of him. Gala jumped up, and looked at the sight in shock. Yami groaned, and looked around.
"What the....Geno?"
Kaos frowned. "Are you people ever going to call me by my real name?"
Yami smiled and gave the god a hug. "I'm back!"
Kaos cringed. "Ok, your back, yippee! Now, get off of me!"
Yami did as Kaos commanded, and then looked at Gala, who stood there in the moon light, tears running down her cheeks. Kaos clamped a hand on his shoulder and whispered, "You already hurt one of my daughters. You hurt this one, and I will make you wish I killed you in Egypt." With that, he let go, and Yami and Gala embraced.
-6 years later-
Tristan groaned as he heard the door bell. He looked over at the alarm clock. "6 am....damn you Kevin, I know you said you would be early...but....aaa!"
He sat up, and threw on a bathrobe. It had been 2 years since the war, 2 years since the MIB had really had to worry about anything big. Now, they were mostly police and detectives, making sure nothing got to out of hand in the world. But still Kevin liked to be over to pick him and Serenity up nice and early.
"Serenity....Serenity, wake up."
Serenity groaned, and rolled over. "Tell him I am tired, would you love?"
Tristan shook his head. "I'm not dealing with him alone." He tugged the shirt off of her, and Serenity groaned again.
"You know, when I promised to take you for better or worse, no for better or worse of Kevin!"
Tristan tossed her a bathrobe, and grabbed one of his own. "I swear, I heard him say that at the wedding."
Serenity chuckled. "Remember the fight him and Joey had over who would be your best man?"
Tristan sighed. "Or lack there of. Joey just trying to tackle him, and Kevin warping all over...." He sighed. "Well, he must be getting mad...let's go tell him we'll be a bit."
They headed to the door, and bracing themselves for one of his little, "What took you so long?" rants, they opened the door
"Uh...he ain't here."
Serenity nodded. The door was empty...or was....
"Tristan!"
Tristan looked down, and saw what had surprised Serenity. A small basket, covered with a blanket. He knelt down, and slowly removed it. He peered inside, and looked at Serenity. "You don't see this every day."
Serenity looked down to see Tristan pulling a baby out of the basket. The child cooed and looked up at her, his little arms reaching for her. Tristan handed her the baby, and then picked up a note.
"Tristan and Serenity, this child is yours. Raise him well, and give him love." Tristan looked at Serenity. "No."
Serenity frowned. "But he's so cute!"
"Serenity, we can't keep him!"
"Let's name him Kiarou. I always liked that name."
Tristan sighed. "This is why we can't go to petting zoos, you want to keep the baby pigs!"
"This isn't a baby pig Tristan, it's a baby! And we're keeping him. Now, let's get you something to eat...Tristan, go to the store and buy some bottles and formula....and a crib...and some clothing...and diapers"
Tristan watched as Serenity bounced the child in her arms and carried the child into the house. He heard an engine, and saw Kevin pull up in his car. He grumbled, and jumped in the front seat.
"What the hell?"
Tristan sighed. "In five minutes, I went form a newlywed to a father. Now, I need baby supplies."
Kevin shrugged. "Weirder things have happened." He started the engine, and looked up to see Shadi standing on the house. Kevin smiled, and headed out as Shadi disappeared. "Of course, considering it's us, this is normal."
