Writers Note: Hey, sorry I haven't been updating. I haven't gotten many reviews, so that's the reason why I'm not in a hurry to finish it. I'm really not sure how I'm gonna finish it. I'm not even sure if I'm gonna finish it, but here's chapter 7!
"How? I mean, why? I mean, he tried to kill you!" Anthony stated in a confused/hurt voice.
"You tried to kill me too! Remember the Knox case?" Anthony shrugged.
"That was differen't. I didn't even know you then, and it was my job. But he wanted revenge."
"Anthony, you barely know a thing about me!" Dylan stated, almost to tears.
"Your middle name is Anne. Your father deserted you, and your mother died of a car accident when you were five. Your favorite band is "Kiss". Your favorite song is "Livin' On A Prayer" by Bon Jovi. Your favorite color is blue. Your favorite TV show is "Threes Company", and your favorite food is Chinese!"
"How do you know all of that?"
"That's just it Dylan, I'm in love with you. And when you're in love with someone, you gotta get to know them. So I spent the last several months learning everything about you." He grabbed her by her shoulders and looked into her green eyes. He could sense fear, confusion, and amazement.
"Anthony, I don't know..."
"Sure, you like Seamus know, but what if he gets his memory back? He'll kill you when you won't be expecting it! If you choose me, I'll be there to protect you! I love you Dylan! Has Seamus ever said that to you?" Dylan bit her lower lip.
He hadn't said it since the break up. But even then, she wasn't sure he meant it. It could have been the whole high school kind of love, the kind of love that faded away. But she loved him, so much. That she always will. Even if he did regain his memory.
But she liked Anthony. She didn't love him, she didn't know him that well. But she supposed within time she'd get to love him. In more ways than one...
Suddenly there was clattering, yelling, and some quite unattractive sounds coming from the restaurant.
Dylan pushed away from Anthony and ran back inside. And to her horror....
"Where is she? Tell me you skank!" Seamus was holding Natalie by her throat, her legs dangled helplessly through the air trying to get free.
Then, Seamus noticed her in the doorway. He threw her best friend on the table, then started stomping towards her.
Dylan was frozen with fear. She knew she should run, but something inside wouldn't let her.
When he approached, he thrashed his fist into her stomach then picked her up by her throat and held her against the wall.
"I'm back..."
Suddenly Anthony stabbed Seamus in his back with his sword, as hard as he possibly could. Seamus let go of Dylan, then clutched his stomach. He fell to the floor, blood splattering everywhere.
Dylan clutched her throat, but rushed the Seamus's side. He looked at her in confusion as she kneeled beside him to admire the sword threshed into his flesh. She looked into his hatful eyes, then gave him a reassuring smile.
"Seamus, Hold still..." She carefully slowly pulled the sword out of him, he winced and cried out in pain in the process. But she got it out, then lied it on the floor next to them. Seamus tried to sit up, but the blood was coming out too quickly and he was beginning to lose consciousness.
"Anthony, call an ambulance now!" Anthony shook his head no, glaring at his enemy. "Anthony!"
He still refused.
Dylan picked Seamus's head and rested it in her lap, then dialed 911 on her cell phone.
Seamus looked up at her. Why was she doing this...
Seamus opened his eyes. White ceiling, the room smelled of medication, bed sheets, and cheap hospital food. He tried to roll over, but he felt an agonizing pain in his stomach. He looked up.
He could see Dylan pacing back in forth through the little window in the door. He was still curious as to why she had saved his life.
He could remember the whole amnesia thing, and how she had acted when she had taken him in. She didn't seem too comfortable about the whole thing. But she did seem to have unidentified feelings for him. He had some too.
Oh sure, he still wanted revenge. But, the way her beautiful auburn hair slipped behind her ear, and the way her eyes seemed to tease him, and those ruby red lips of hers...
What was he saying? She had turned him in. She was the reason he had rotted in jail for 8 full years! But he had loved her, she had loved him. But did she still love him? The real question, did he still love her?
Suddenly the nurse walked in, "He's awake..." then left the room. Shortly after, Dylan appeared in the doorway.
"Um, hey..." She said uncomfortably. She slowly made her way over to the side of his bed, a little scared. He could tell when she was scared. Her nostrils kinda flared out.
"Hey." He said blankly. She looked relieved by the simple returning "hey".
"How are you doing?" She asked, keeping a safe distance from the bed.
"Alright, for a person who got stabbed through the stomach..." Dylan slightly smiled. Oh, how he had loved her smile. Sometimes, when he kissed her, she would get the biggest smile on her face, it was hard not to laugh.
"Um, I'm sorry." Seamus raised an eyebrow.
"For what?"
"About ratting you out. My conscience got the better of me..." Seamus stared into space listening to her. Atleast she was apologizing, but that didn't seem to be enough.
"Don't ya just hate it when that happens?"
"Seamus, I know you want to kill me. But I wanted to let you know that I'll do anything to make it up to you." Seamus remained silent.
"I've been thinking, really hard. You know Anthony? The guy who stabbed you. Well, when he kissed me, I felt this feeling I hadn't felt for a long time. I hadn't felt it since I'd kissed you. You wouldn't believe how much I missed you after you left. I felt like I was gonna die. You were the only person I could depend on. You were my everything. And it took everything in me to hurt you like that, and I didn't want to. I'm, well, I'm begging your forgiveness. I know you never will forgive me, but a girl can dream..."
Seamus looked over at her. She had tears in her eyes, she looked like she was actually sorry.
He motioned with his hand to come closer. She came all the way up to the bed. He lifted his opened hand up, offering it to her. She unknowingly took it.
He moved his hand down her hip, and then almost pulled her onto the bed. She sat next to him, then retook his hand in hers, he put his free arm around her.
They sat there in silence, together. It was slightly awkward, but wonderful.
Seamus, gazing into her eyes, slowly kissed her. And to his surprise, she kissed him back. In was the best feeling he had ever felt in his life. Being reconnected with his love.
Their kiss grew deeper, harsher, longer. She took her hand and ran it through his hair, it felt so good.
Right at that moment, he let his hatful feelings fall away. He didn't care anymore...
