Embrace The Dark

Prologue

Her mission was clear and precise. There was no room for failure because if she failed, it was unlikely that she'll make it back home... alive. There was no possible way that she could actually succeed in what she was going to do, but there was no longer hope in the Silver Millennium.

She moved swiftly and lightly on her high-heeled boots around the corridors of the ebony palace. The walls were bleak, black and ominous; and were lit by fireflies flying dazedly around. How fitting the fireflies were for this place.

The security was lacking and because of this, she heightened her senses to their limits. Obviously, if the security was poor, they knew she was coming and did not want to stop her in any possible way. She could be falling into a trap they had set not too long ago.

She continued her trek until she stared face-to-face with giant, thick double doors. She placed her left hand against one of the doors and pushed. She moved her key-like staff into the room first, in case her enemies were waiting for her.

The staff glowed soft garnet so she could see inside the darkness. When she saw no one in the domed room, she went inside...

Violet eyes shot open when she felt an intruder step into The Room. The one with the violet eyes was about to sit up, but then remembered that The Room was well guarded. No one was going to take it. She cannot match their strength and intelligence... and may I add: playfulness?

When she got to the middle of the room, the doors closed with surprising speed. She quickly got into a defensive position, her staff in front of her. Her garnet eyes looked to the corners of the room until-

"Para-Para likes to play with Time Senshi!"

Before she knew it, a human-sized doll appeared before her and knocked her off her feet. However, to Para-Para's disappointment, she got back up readily, prepared for whatever was to come.

"No fun!" Para-Para wined.

"No need to worry, Cere-Cere will take care of her for you."

"Yay!"

A thick, spiked vine came out of nowhere and pierced her back. She gave out a startled, pained cry.

"Ves-Ves is coming for you..."

An elephant's trunk swatted her to the other side of the room. She hit the wall with an awful crunch.

"No fair! You did not wait for Jun-Jun to arrive!"

Balls were put into air, a swat of a bat could be heard, and that was the only thing that warned her of explosive baseballs coming her way. Before she knew it, the hard balls went right through her staff, breaking it in half, and hit her heart.

Her brooch shuddered under their power before coming off. Garnet ribbons flared and flew back to the brooch where the Pluto Crystal lived.

Setsuna Meiou lay on the floor, out of breath and horribly damaged. Her half closed eyes looked around for her enemies, but she could not find them, they were hidden in the shadows very well.

Their laughs rang in the air, taunting her.

Unable to stay conscious any longer, she fainted...

Violet eyes closed as she gave into sleep. Everything was taken care of.
