Title: Outcasts
Author: Lala
Pairing: one-sided Seth/Summer
Rating: G
Summary: Pre-OC; Seth watches Summer.
Spoilers: Slightly for The Girlfriend Author's Notes: I'm an OC newbie, and I haven't even caught up on episodes yet, let alone read much fic. So if there's something out there similar to this, forgive me. If I stumble across one, I'll be sure to delete this. Please give honest and constructive feedback.
Disclaimer: None of the characters with in Belong to me.

He starts the day with a smile on his face, so his parents won't know. They think they have the perfect son and he doesn't have the heart to shatter the illusion.
Because, if you think about it, he is perfect. Straight A's, sense of humor…
A social outcast…
Yeah, just perfect.
But they don't have to know that. His mom tells him to call up a friend but this isn't elementary school anymore. His dad tells him to ask out a girl, but this isn't elementary school anymore.
The classes are harder than previous years, but socializing is what's killing him.
He sees her in the halls with what seems like a different guy every day and he'll see her smile and kiss them, big and deep and his heart will break for her because he knows they don't care. And he never sees her cry or do anything else but smile even on those few occasions when she's not with a guy and he admires her strength because he refuses to believe that she's not hurting.
He's built up this picture of her, over the years. Winter cool on the outside, but he knows the little girl who fed the squirrels is in there somewhere. And he wants to find her, if only Summer would let him. But she won't and it hurts but he tries to be like her and not let it show.
And he's not sure why he likes her but it's not just 'cause she's pretty; he thinks there's something more. Because he thinks, deep down, they're both outcasts in one-way or another.
