Amethyst: Hey. I haven't updated this thing in like forever.... Random note before I go on. This takes place during X 16 and the quote on the end is from Subaru when he's talking to Kamui. And I know this isn't the most original piece of fan fiction but I was bored during study hall and couldn't think of anything better. Plus I was just trying to see if I could do an X/Tokyo Babylon fan fic. That being said, enjoy
Long fingers entangled themselves in the bed sheet, green orbs staring into space. Dead. The concept was still hard for the young man to grasp. Dead. Sakurazuka Seishiro, the man he hated the most yet loved more than anything in this world. He turned onto his side, arms encircling his delicate frame, making him feel like a child again. Childhood. It had been so simple then. Seishiro had been his best friend and their relationship so much less complex. His worst problems were troublesome excercisms, but now... The Dragons of Heaven and their attempts to save humanity, numerous battles with the Sakurazukamori, finally ending in the death of the only man he had ever loved.
There was a gentle knock on the door, amethyst eyes peering at him through the small crack. Shiro Kamui opened the door wider, unable to mask his concern. "Subaru-san?" The young man said nothing, not noticing the deepening frown on his friends face. "Subaru-san," he repeated, violet orbs pleading, "you need to eat something. Why don't you-" He was cut off by the Sumeragi shaking his head. "Subaru...." He said for a third time, tone hurt. It was a tentative plea, as soft as a whisper, as if Subaru was in danger of shattering. It was too late for that. Piercing emerald orbs locked into amethyst voids, Kamui breaking the stare instants later. A defeated sigh escaped past the boys lips and his head dropped; he knew he had lost Subaru forever. The man watched the teen leave, orbs surprisingly detached and unemotional, more like Seishiro's cold stare. Seishiro. Once again, he was lost in his own little world, contemplating his fate now that the only reason he was still alive was stolen from him. But really, what was the point of living anymore? What was the point of remaining a ten no ryu when there was nothing left to protect? He sighed deeply, running his fingers through his already messy hair. "Seishiro-san...." The name came easily to his lips, eyes filling with sorrow. 'You were so selfish to want to die by my hand,' he thought carelessly. 'And your last words... Did you even care what happened to me?' But at the moment, there was nothing he wanted more than to join Seishiro; wasn't his wish just as selfish? He sighed again. "One wish cannot make everyone happy."
Amethyst: Wow. That was pretty rantist. Gomen for the shortness but I only had 45 minutes to write it. I know the title might not be entirely appropriate but it makes sense in my insane mind. Plus that quote is like my favorite.... Anywho, please review.
