Lara Croft and the rescue of the Thunderbirds.
Chapter Two: The Hold up.
It had been a good fifteen minutes since Gordon had told Scott, Virgil and Lara that he was on his way.
"How long is he gonna be?" Virgil moaned. "It can take five minutes to tunnel under the Thames, but over quarter of an hour to find a chamber in a temple," Virgil always was one to moan when things weren't going his way. He was Alan's replacement when he wasn't there.
"Mr. Tracy, this temple is massive, it's amazing you managed to find me so fast," smiled Lara, winching again in pain.
"Are you ok Ms, Croft?" Scott sat down next to her.
"Lara, please,"
"Well if we're on first names terms, he's Virgil and I'm Scoot. Ok?!" Lara just nodded and smiled at the two brothers.
"Now then are you in pain?" Scott placed his hand on her forehead.
"A slight pain in my back but it's ok,"
"Why don't you let me be the judge of that?" he gave her a reassuring smile and pointed to the holsters at the top of her legs. She shook head as Scott gently slid his hand round to undo the straps. She smiled at the way Scott blushed and tried to stay calm.
"You know you're making me feel like Mrs. Robinson," Virgil laughed slightly and tried to get hold of Gordon again.
"Ok," said Scott, placing the holsters and the guns on the floor next to the stretcher. "Mind if I take a look at your back?"
"No," Scott gently rolled her on to her side.
"Virg, some light please?" Virgil shone the torch in his hand on to the lower part of Lara's back. Her lower spine was black and purple with bruising.
"Can you move your feet and toes?" he asked after she was lying down again. Her DM's wiggled slightly.
"Ok, it's just bruised; I don't think anything is broken. Virg, any news? Scott stood up and walked over to his brother.
"Nothing, I think my radio died," Virgil whispered to Scott so as not to worry Lara, but as Scott shot her a glance she knew something was wrong.
"Is everything ok boys?" Scott looked at Virgil who just shrugged his shoulders.
"Our radios are down, and we can't communicate with our team. I think we're stuck."
Chapter three up soon, (I hope)
