The door had been ripped open from the inside out. A bass roar rumbled up from below as Peter slowly stepped over the doorstep, terror written in every line of his face.
"Sarah! Where are you?" Peter screamed. "Come on, Sarah this ain't funny!"
A floor board creaked as Sarah jumped out from behind a door to Peter's right yelling, "Boo" then breaking up laughing. Andrew walked out from behind her a smirk plastered across his face as he let out another bass roar.
"Godda-" Peter started to yell. As a shriek that seemed to invoke an enormous dark, shadowy presence shattered the feeling of simple sibling rivalry that had pervaded the air only moments before.
"WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT??!!" Andrew roared in terror and surprise.
"How should I know," Sarah shouted at him, "you're the master of the animal sounds. I'm just good at scaring him."
"Bu. . . Ahht. . . Bu...Damn you," Peter stammered.
"Dude Pete you ain't ever going to beat us just admit it," Andrew stated smugly.
"agh. . ." an unknown voice said from the passageway that Sarah and Andrew had just vacated. A creepy guy that seemed to be oozing some weird kind of sweat was sweeping into the room at a rapid pace. As he launched himself at Andrew, the closest one to him, Andrew realized it wasn't sweat that was oozing off him, it was his very skin!
"What the hell is he?" Andrew gasped out as he fought with all his might not only not to barf from the horrendous smell of rotting flesh that was rolling over him but also not to let the gooey thing touch him.
"He was once human," a voice responded from the dark of the doorway as a gorgeous woman seemed to materialize out of nowhere gun pointed straight at the thing, "but now," there was an intermittent bang as she blasted the thing's head off, "he's just a rotting carcass."
