I slowly woke up with the warm feeling of Mulder's arms around mine. It's
been so long since I've felt that. I was so glad that everything was pretty
normal again. I was sorry that through all the tears and worries I didn't
get to tell Mulder what Mark found in all the tests and everything, but I
made Mark promise not to tell. I snuggled deeper into Mulder's arms and I
felt a light kiss placed on the back of my head. I turned to find bright
hazel eyes staring back at me and couldn't help but smile as he kissed me
again.
"I thought I heard you wake up but I wasn't sure."
"We need to talk."
Immedietly a worried look flashed across his face and I felt anxious to tell him the rest.
"No... no... good talk."
"Okay..."
"Well when your friend Mark got my tests back he found something but I made him promise not to tell you... I wanted to."
"Okay... and..."
"And laying in this bed right now... minus one little girl of course... is our new family."
"But... wait... how..."
I could feel the corners of my mouth turn up and I knew I couldn't stop if I tried.
"Scully... are you sure?"
"Positive."
"But I thought... I mean... I never even dared to hope..."
"So... you want it right?"
"Are you kidding? Of course!"
We both smiled and laughed as Mark walked in behind us.
"So I see you told him?"
All he got in return was two goofy grins from the very proud new parents.
"Hey Mark could you leave and come back in, in oh say an hour?"
"Why would I... OH! You didn't get to tell her your surprise yet... she just told you hers. Okay I get it."
Mark left us alone, but I had no idea what he was talking about.
"Mulder?"
"Shhh..."
He put his finger to my lips to shush me.
"I want this to our family... OUR family... with a mommy and a daddy and two little kids... I love you Scully more than I've ever loved anyone before. I thought I would die when I found out your cancer was back. I can't live without you Scully... I need you in my life... forever... I love you so much. I have a house, up in a little town called Feasterville that you've probably never even heard of. It's a quite little town, and I talked to Skinner and we can the x-files transferred up there... see it's right by Philadelphia... It'd be about an hour to work... both ways... but it'd be worth it... if you'd come up there and live with me. All of us... together..."
I was so surprised that all I could do was lean forward and kiss him with everything I had in me.
"So is that a yes?"
I playfully whacked him on the arm and we both broke out into laughter.

no way could I end it there... I just hadda add in some author's notes... I just thought of something in the sequel to this fic Second Chance they have a son named William and that's like... kinda weird replacing your old son like naming him the same thing... I assure you if you go back and look I changed it because originally this wasn't gunna be a prequel to Second Chance... but the story line just fit so perfectly... that it had to be. lol anyways here yea go.

Day's later... it's Thursday now...
Well this was the day the day I had to go and complete our family. I can do it I can do it. I leaned down and gave Scully one last kiss. Long enough to last me, but gentle enough so as not to wake her. Then I slip out of the underground were we're currently residing until our family is whole. We should be moving out this weekend. I park my car about a mile from the building and walk the rest of the way. I plant myself on the concrete part of the roof and look in through part of the glass. I can see Emily's small little body. Then I see Dr. Hendriks nod. That means he saw me and that he'll make sure the room is clear at midnight. He's the man who helped cure Emily. He cured her and let her out of the holding tanks for a while. He told the other doctor's he was still looking for a cure when really he was trying to get Emily back to her family. So now she aged a little... she looked about six. However, eventually they noticed that she wasn't dead so he admitted that he found a way to cure her. Once she was cured though she had to go back into the holding tanks. It broke his heart to lock her back up. He saw a lone tear drip down her face. She reached her tiny little hand up to wipe it away and that was the last movement she made before she froze. Dr. Hendriks told me all about it. Well I better settle in... I have three hours and I got plenty of sleep so I wouldn't be tired. How to occupy myself. Ahh.. I know, think baby. Humm... what to name her... or him... I'll be happy either way. Names...names... well I don't want another little Sam... boy or girl... no Sam. I stare up at the sky as I think that which is funny because I still don't believe you're dead... I never will... not until I get my proof.
Two Hours Later...
Okay so if it's a boy It'll be Mark after the doctor that saved Scully's life, or Ethan because I know that's a name Scully's always loved. Then if it's a girl I'll be shooting for either Andrea because that was my old best friend in elementary school and plus I've always just liked the name. Also I'm going to try and look up what rain means in other languages because me and Scully had our first kiss out in the rain... I'll see weather it sounds better as a boy's name or a girls... and then I'll try and see if Scully will go for it.
Half hour later...
Well twenty-seven minuets until they shut off the camera's... tick tock tick tock... oh my god this is boring... I should have brought a book... tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock....tick...tick...tock....tick....tock...tock...I bang my head on the glass and Dr Hendriks laughs. Thankfully the taps don't have sound so they're think he's laughing at the TV he's pretending to watch. (which isn't on mind you) He looks at his watch and then flashes two fingers behind his back twice. I look down at my watch... yep twenty-two minuets. I then rub my hands down my face and smack myself in the forehead and watch as Dr. Hendriks laughs again. I know he's watching me out of the mirror on the wall, that's also how I can see his face. He must just think my frustration is so funny. I look down at my watch to see that only one minuet has gone by. UGH! Twenty- one minuets left and it's killing me. I look up at the sky and see all the stars look the same tonight... none are brighter or anything. I start to imagine what the baby will be like. I imagine a little baby girl with auburn baby fuzz, then a little girl with ocean blue eyes and little brown curls who has mommy on one side and daddy on the other, she's learning to walk, then I see her going off to her first day of school she hugs me and Scully and then waves from the door. By the time she's learned how to ride a bike, she even has some friends, and Scully was teaching her how to cook. I then look down at my watch and realize that I have about thirty seconds until midnight. Twenty-nine... I hope I can do this... twenty-seven... please don't let me screw this up... twenty-five... remember only ten minuets... twenty- three... you have to get her out of there fast... twenty-one... you still have to get back to the car... nineteen... that's a mile away... seventeen... she probably won't be able to walk right away... fifteen... good thing she should be light... thirteen... drive away as fast as possible... eleven... did you remember to put in the car seat?... nine... you don't want her to get hurt... seven... well she is six years old...five... oh yea...three... the booster seat though...one... you better have!
