This is a poem, yes, and is actually pretty depressing, for me. Please review it, or at least give it a try. You might have to guess what pokemon it is, though.
As I see light for the first time
Feel the earth beneath my feet
Solid, firm ground, good to meet
I cannot think better of mine
I do not want to fly.
I'm growing stronger every day
Fighting, playful, as I learn
No painful bites or strange new turn
I keep it simple as I say
I do not want to fly.
Changing is a shade to far
Miss old times, though I'm still here
Everybody else has no fear
They want to travel to the stars
I do not want to fly.
Against my nature, you might think
To fear the air; fly at fast speed
To live your life and live your creed
I remain humble on Earth's brink
I do not want to fly.
And then the day- I find my wings
But remain unused will they
Kept quiet and still for every day
I have no use for these strange things
I do not want to fly.
A chase forces me to run away
Why bother to take to the air?
I'm not made that way, to be fair
I was given a chance to stay;
I do not want to fly.
A cliff ahead, drops down like sky
I'm closing in, no way to stop
And as I leap off this oblivious drop
I wonder what it's like to die
I do not want to fly.

They found the mighty beast alone
Wings laid flat out, laid eagle-spread
Looked upon him, and found him dead
And whoever had heard or known
Of a dragon, afraid to fly?
