DISCLAIMER: They seem to belong to other people.

It was on the radio in the cab as we drove to the hospital. Sweetbox, the driver told me, Everything's Going To Be Alright. The words hit me; they seemed to be what we should be yelling at Josh. 'You're a fighter, so fight, wake up and live'.

When Toby's cell phone rang, I jumped, I was so caught up in the song, I jumped. It was Leo, he'd seen Josh, him and the president, Josh had spoken to the them, he'd asked what was next. That was when I finally cried. Ridiculous because now everything was going to be alright, but I cried and Toby held me as we drove across Washington.

Josh's mother and Leo are sat with him. Mrs Landingham has taken Donna home, Abbey's orders are that she has to sleep. They won't let her sit with Josh yet anyway, it's family only, family and Leo. So Toby, Sam and I are stood watching through the window, though we should probably leave them to it before we completely freak his mother out.

16 hours of hell are over for us, although I suspect the hell may just be beginning for Josh. He'll be in ICU for a few days, Abbey told us, then they'll move him to a room and he can have visitors. They don't know how long his recovery will take. From the look that passed quickly between Abbey and Dr Holbrook when Sam asked that question, I don't think they're even sure how full a recovery he'll make. But he's alive, he's breathing on his own and he's spoken to the president. For now, that's enough.

I need to get back and brief the press again; I need to tell the world that Josh is going to be alright. Which would be a lot easier, if I could stop crying every time I said his name.
