Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Continues

One bright summer day in Tokyo.

The Kamiya Dojo was rather crowded with people. It was Himura Kenji's 5th birthday. Practically every acquaintance of his parents are present. The birthday-boy is about to blow the candle.

"Blow the candle! Blow the candle!" the audience said.

Kaoru patted young Kenji's head. "Go, Kenji. Blow the candle. And don't forget to make a wish."

"Hai, oka-san."

And he blew the candle. The audience clapped their hand.

"So, what's your wish, Kenji?" Kenshin, the elder Himura asked.

And young Kenji, with blue-violet eyes shining, answered, "I want to be a hitokiri!"

The audience sweatdropped.

Another bright summer day in Tokyo. Five years later.

Himura Kenji's 10th birthday, same audience.

Birthday boy blew the candle, and made a wish.

"I want to be a rurouni!"

And the audience each have a major sweatdrop.

Once again, a bright summer day in Tokyo. Another five years had passed.

The day of Himura Kenji's 15th birthday. Same audience.

And Himura Kenji made another wish.

"I want to be...."

Kenshin, who was a little bit traumatized by Kenji's wishes slowly ask, "You want to be...?"

"I want to be... A laundry-man!!"

And the audience died.
