A/N: I know that this chapter is short but I don't have time to write more now so I will update soon if anyone wants me too! Please R&R as this is my first Harry Potter fanfic. All the characters belong to JKR, not me. But if JKR doesn't want Remus and Severus I'll happily take them!

"Get off me you bastard!" Hermoine screamed at the top of her lungs as she shoved Snape away from her.

"Hermoine please just listen to me." Snape tried grabbing Hermione's arm as she ran back out onto Hogwarts grounds.

"No, you're lying. Don't come near me." She slipped on the wet morning grass falling onto her hands and knees. Raising her head is hits her, so many bodies, so much pain. The mist began to lift and that's when she saw his body lying five feet away. His fire red hair blazing against the grass, his wand lying a few feet away from his outstretched hand. Crawling over to him she began to sob into his chest.

Severus Snape looked on as Hermione cried into her best friend's chest. Ron had pushed Harry forward towards Voldemort and out of the way of the Avda Kedavra curse thrown by Malfoy. Harry finally defeated He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named after he broke the link between their wands and a giant phoenix engulfed Voldemort. Harry then stumbled towards Dumbledore and collapsed into the old mans arms.

"'Mione please come with me." Snape was shocked at how natural her nickname felt coming from his mouth. Kneeling down beside her he took her hand in his. She looked up at him her eyes red from crying but still beautiful to him. Hermione shifted slightly and fell into his arms shaking as more sobs wracked her small frame.

Picking her up Severus walked back into the Entrance Hall and towards his chambers. Muttering a password to his door he awkwardly opened the door and kicked it shut with his foot. Walking into his bedroom he placed the now sleeping Hermione onto his bed. Pulling off her muddy shoes and socks he tossed them onto the floor and grabbed a blanket from the closet. Placing the blanket over her he let a smile cross his features. He was free. The Dark Mark faded soon after Voldemort feel, he wouldn't have to lead a double life any longer, and he was finally free to be himself. Brushing a stray piece of unruly hair out of Hermione's face he gently kissed her forehead.

Hermione woke to a bright light shining in her eyes. Frowning in annoyance she opened her eyes to unfamiliar surroundings. Rubbing the sleep out of her eyes she looked around at the elegantly decorated room. Black sheets with a silver lining covered the bed while a deep forest green hung from the bed, deep brown floorboards covered the floor which lead to another door of to her left. Gently pushing the sheet back she slid her legs over the bed. Taking a closer look around the room she finally realised where she was, Severus Snape's bedroom. Which meant one thing; he'd carried her from the battle field to his chambers. A feeling of safety and comfort washed over her as she walked to the open door leading to what she assumed was the sitting room. It was then she saw him. Sprawled out on the couch was an asleep Snape, his hair lying across his face and the blanket coming to his waist. Walking over to him she knelt down to get a better look. His face was relaxed the sneer gone from his mouth and the lines on his forehead didn't exist. Pushing back the hair from his face she couldn't believe how soft he felt. The feeling of his warm skin under her fingers sent shivers running up her spine. His night black hair wasn't greasy at all but as soft as silk gliding through her hands. Severus shifted into her hand causing Hermoine to withdraw it at once. Before she had a chance to get too far she felt something grab her hand, looking down she realized that Severus was awake.
