"…I'm sorry?"

"What?"

"What did you say?"

"Oh. We were talking about portals."

"Not kiwi?"

"No. Not kiwi." Kaito gulped after speaking. "Kur… Suuichi?"

"Yes?"

"Why did you think of kiwi?"

"I'm not exactly sure," Kurama spoke carefully, leaning back in his chair. "Did I look like I was listening?"

"I suppose."

"Then I probably was. Somehow."

Kurama nodded as if to self-confirm. Kaito jut stared, before thanking whatever God had forgotten to foresake him that the class wasn't paying them any attention. Their professor was grading papers, so the class had taken this time to relax and mingle. Although usually Kurama had a flock of admireres every free moment, they seemed to relieve him of this burden today.

Shuuichi was still looking at him intently, making Kaito fidget. Which Shuuichi didn't notice. After a pause, Kaito waved a hand in his friend's face. Shuuichi didn't blink.

Shuuichi was comatose while looking attentive.

Kaito sighed and sat back in his seat, relaxed evan as Kueama just sat there. Why though? Kaito's mind raced. He had no reason to begin spacing now. Shuuichi, one of Kaitoe's most respected peers, was loosing his touch. But why?

Kurama was blinking again.

"Are you in there now?" Was the first words of the red head.

"I'm… sorry?"

"You seemed… fazed."

"I do?!"

"Well, yes," Kurama stated calmly. "You're just sitting there."

"Because you were!" Kaio cried.

"So… you idolize me?"

"No! I-!" Kaito paused again, glaring. "What were you thinking about?"

"…?"

"Woah, Kurama! Fazing out?" Botan bounced over Kaito's shoulder, who sweatdropped. "Who on?"

"Who?" Kaito and Kurama chimed. Kaito glared suddenly.

"Who?"

"Um…" Kurama scratched his cheek. Botan leaned forward secretively.

"Time for drastic measures." She smirked, and the sound of her subtle, ecstatic voice turned the heads of everyone in the room. Kurama nodded suddenly.

"Kiwi."

"Who?"

"It's a fruit."

Kaito shook his head. The whole class groaned.
