Ginny stood near her window and watched as the shadows played across the newly fallen snow. It truly was a beautiful sight. She had always loved the snow, as it reminded her of her days at Hogwarts. The castle just seemed enchanted even more than it already was with the ice crystals gleaming off of it.
Opening the window, she took in a big breath of the crisp, cold air. Sticking her head slightly out the window, she let the chilled breeze lick her skin. Letting out a sigh, she told herself that nothing would ruin her day, that was until a pop sounded behind her.
Spinning around she noticed Harry moving towards her couch to take a seat. Glowering, she moved to sit across from him. "Ever hear of knocking?" She said as she crossed her arms over her chest for emphasis.
Harry's eyes widened. "Sorry, Gin. You never complained before, so I didn't think it was a problem."
She rolled her eyes and leaned back. Sure, three years ago she sure wouldn't have minded, but now she did. All Harry ever wanted from her was advice, and she was finding that she just didn't like giving it anymore. Especially since it was a very taxing job when you're giving love advice to the man of your dreams. "Well, I'm complaining now." She said not noticing the startled look in his eyes. "What do you need?"
Harry let out a deep breath. "It's Susan. She left me with nothing but this letter." He said sadly while holding said letter up.
The raise of an eyebrow was the only emotion Ginny showed to Harry's little turn of events. Needless to say she wasn't surprised. As for his sadness, well, she understood that too. He had loved Susan, enough to want to marry her. Much like Ginny's love for Harry. So did she pity him? Nope. Instead she rolled her eyes again and stood up to stretch.
"What should I do, Ginny? I don't understand what her trouble with me is." He asked. "What if I lose her for good this time?"
Ginny let out a broken laugh. "You never had her."
"What?" Harry asked, angrily and apparently startled that she would say such a thing.
"Don't you get it?" She asked him. "You only see what you want to see. You've got blinders on!"
"I don't understand." He said looking utterly confused.
An exasperated sigh escaped from her lips. "She doesn't love you, Harry. You don't see it because you don't want to see it." A look of comprehension crossed his features, and Ginny crossed back over to the window and added, "Just like you never wanted to see my love for you."
Harry once again sent her a baffled look. "What did you say?"
But Ginny ignored him. "You're a dreamer, Harry. You keep holding on to a fantasy." Her gaze was now fixed on her feet as the impact of what she was saying finally hit her, and she finished what she needed to say with three words that were just as much for her as the were for him. "There's your trouble."
