On the other side of London a young man wakes in tears screaming out her
name. Sitting straight up in bed Harry screamed out her name "Hermione, no
not Hermione." Grabbing his wand he ran to the door. Reaching out to open
the door he could her his uncle Vernon yelling for him to bloody shut up.
Hitting the door Harry began to scream at his uncle and Aunt Petunia to
open the door sobbing he continue to pound, "Please you have to let me
out, I have to get to Hermione, he's killing her, please Aunt Petunia I
can't lose her too." He sobbed. Over come by fear and sorrow Harry lean on
the door and slid down to the floor. Just when he had given up on getting
out of the room the door opened and his aunt stood there with tears running
down her face. Shocked by the sorrow etched on his aunt face Harry ran from
the room and down the stairs and out side.
Seeing Harry rush out of the house, Remus Lupin came out of the shadows, "Harry whats wrong?"
Unable to stop the flow of tears Harry gripped his wand "Hermione, she needs me, I have to get to Hermione."
Looking at the fear on the young mans face Remus walked over to him and said "go back in the house Harry, I'll have Tonks check on Hermione."
Pushing Remus away Harry screamed, "NO I am going to Hermione, get out of my way Remus, I won't let her die."
Seeing the angry look on Harry face and the way e was griping his wand, Remus took pity on the boy and said "take my hand we'll apparate there."
Disapparateing not far from Hermione's house with Harry, Remus was shocked at the number of order members and ministry people out side in the Granger front yard. Shocked out of his thoughts by the sight of the young girl being unbound from a tree, a cold shiver crept thru his body followed by over whelming sorrow. To wrapped in his own thoughts Remus forgot about the young man standing beside him until he saw Harry begin to run and push his way thru order members as they tried to hold him back from the girl.
Hermione, please not my Hermione his mind screamed as he pushed Arthur Weasley out of his way. Coming to a stop as Snape stepped out to block him. Harry's could fill the rage ripe thru him, he screams at Snape "Move out of my way Snape". Raising his wand Harry pointed it at Snape.
Seeing the angry raging thru the young boy Albus Dumbledore called "Severus let Harry pass."
Nodding to the headmaster Severus Snape moved to let Harry walk past to his friend lying on the ground. His own grief ragging inside, ripping at him to be free, his brightest student, so like Lily. All the regret in the world would not bring her back, yet he wished that in all the things he had done this once he wish it could have been him and not her. Voldemort would pay, the boy would destroy him and Severus would be there to make sure he never took another life, not one as bight as Hermione Granger was meant to be.
He couldn't stop the tears from falling as he kneeled beside Hermione, reaching down and lifting her in his arms Harry let his grief over whelm him as he began to sob and rock her in his arms, "I'm so sorry Hermione, so sorry."
Walking over to Tonks and Remus, Albus motioned for them to follow him casting a spell around them so no one could hear them Albus said " Tonks I need you to pack everything in the Grangers home and take it to them in America. Do not tell them of whats happened here tonight. Remus I want you to gather Hermione's things and bring them to Hogwarts. I cannot stress enough on no one finding out what we are doing or that Hermione's parents are in America. We would be putting their lives in danger."
Looking shocked Remus said "But Albus why are we not letting Hermione's parents know what has happened and why are we taking her things to Hogwarts. Surly he parents would want her things."
Placing his hand on Remus shoulder Albus answered ' I can not answer your questions at this time just know that what we do know will determine the way the war turns. We must make sacrifices to insure our futures, even one as great as this, I'm afraid."

Hearing a "meow' Albus glanced down and saw Hermione's cat sitting looking at his young mistress and Harry. Reaching down to pick up the cat Albus notice that the he was not a he at all but a she. Glancing over to the young girl in Harry's arms and back to the cat in his arms Albus called out to his potions master "Severus please take Miss Granger's cat to Minerva."
Walking over and taking the cat from Albus, Severus nodded and was gone. Walking over to Harry, Albus reached out to the boy and said "Come Harry let us take her home."
