Remus and Tonks headed for the headmaster's office to find him, not finding
him there
they went to Minerva's chambers to see if he was with her. Knocking on the door Remus
was answered with an "Enter".
Entering the chamber Remus walked over to where the headmaster stood talking to Molly
and Arthur.
Seeing the worry look on Remus Lupin's face Albus said, "What is the matter Remus?"
Remus replied, "Hermione's mother is here and she knows about Hermione."
Moving swiftly Albus Dumbledore left Minerva's chamber followed closely my the
others .
Harry, Ron, and Ginny came to an abrupt stop as they saw Dumbledore move as fast as
they had ever seen him move down the corridor followed closely behind McGonagall,
Remus, Tonks, Molly and Arthur. Looking at Ron, Harry said "lets go something is
going on" and the three friends took off after their teachers and parents.
Reaching the hospital wing Albus opened the door and walked in and stopped seeing
Severus Snape holding Hermione's grieving mother.
Hearing footsteps Elizabeth pulled away from Severus and walked around him to see
Albus Dumbledore standing right inside of the doorway of the hospital wing. Walking
towards the headmaster Elizabeth came to a stop in front of him and reach up and slapped
the headmaster across the face.
Not noticing the people who came to an abrupt stop right behind him Elizabeth screamed
at him "You promised me, you said if I let her stay here you would protect her. How
many more promise will you make and not keep old man?"
Albus could feel the overwhelming pain and strain of all his secrets and lies weighing
down on his weary soul.
Looking at him with rage and hurt in her eyes she screamed as tears fell down her face "
you promised me damn you, you said you would protect my baby. I will hate you forever,
you are a stranger to me, I will never call you father never."
Standing behind her husband Minerva felt as if her heart was being ripped out of her. It
couldn't be he would not do that to her, he couldn't do such a thing not to her, not to
them.
Hearing his wife grasp of shock Albus said "Severus please take Elizabeth to your
chambers."
Nodding his head Severus picked up the sobbing woman in his arms and left the hospital
wing and headed for the dungeons.
Watching in silence as Severus left with sobbing woman Minerva struggled to hold back
tears.
Turning Albus said "Minerva please come with me to our rooms ."
Unable to keep the tears in check any longer Albus Dumbledore let them fall. All of his
betrayals were coming out in the open and they could destroy everything he has worked
so hard to protect.
