Entering her chambers Minerva didn't bother closing the door behind her and walked

over to the window and looked out over the grounds.

Hearing the door close she said "what have you done Albus?"

Walking up behind his wife he put his hands on her shoulders and said " what no one else

could have done I made choices to protect our world."

Pulling away from her husband she walked to stand by the fireplace and picked up a

picture of her wedding day. Sitting it back down she said, "How long will you put the

rest of the world in front of us Albus, how long will the lies and secrets consume us?"

Moving to a chair Albus clasped into it and said "if I could change it all I would, yet I

know even that is not 100% true. So many sacrifices had to be made to protect our world,

so may lives have been lost Minerva, I've done only what I must to guarantee that our

world continues to survive."

Kneeling in front her husband tears running down her face she choked out " Is she my

child? Is she the child I thought dead?"

Raising his eyes to look into hers he could not find the words yet the answer shouted

itself thru her from his eyes.

Choking a heartbreaking sob she moved away from him back to stand in front of the

fireplace.

Rising and moving to stand behind her once more Albus whispered "Minerva"

Shaking her head she replied, "Leave me Albus".

Moving towards the chamber door he said "I am sorry my love, truly sorry."

Receiving no replied Albus left their chamber and headed for his office.

Hearing the chamber door close Minerva walked into her bedroom walking to the

wardrobe on the fare wall she pulled a box down from the top shelf and moved to the

bed. Sitting down she pulled the lid off the box and pulled out a baby blanket in

gryffindor colors and a picture of herself and Albus when she was pregnant with there

only child. Clutching the blanket and the picture to her chest Minerva laid on the bed and

let the pain pour from her very soul.

Reaching his office Albus, Moved to the closest arm chair and clasped into it. The events

of the last 24 hours weighing heavily on his sprit and mind. Letting his grief rain free

Albus let the tears fall without stop.

Watching him cry, she could feel his magic surging uncontrollable thru the room.

Moving from the shadows she reached a hand out to wipe away his tears and whispered

"be strong, soon everything will be the way it should. They will forgive you, they will

forgive you grandfather."

Looking up and smiling sadly he replied, "Did anyone see you my child?"

Smiling sadly she whispered, "No, I was careful." Her own tears had started to fall.

Pulling his granddaughter into his lap Albus wiped away her tears and said "We need to

be strong, if we are to fulfill the prophecy, my child. When this is over they will forgive

us for what we had to do to protect them do not worry my sweet Hermione."

A soft knocking brought them both out of their thoughts moving off her grandfather's lap

Hermione transfigured back into Crookshanks.

Seeing his granddaughter back in the form of her cat Albus called out "Enter".

Moving in the office Arthur Weasley watched as Hermione's cat ran out of the office and

down the stairs.

Looking at the headmaster Arthur said "headmaster, Molly wanted me to come and let

you know we are taking the children back to Grimmauld Place."

Standing and walking over to Arthur, Albus said "Yes, good I think it a good idea to take

them away from here for a while. I'm worried about them with Miss Granger's death, and

all. I'll have Remus go get Harry's things from Privet Drive."

Nodding Arthur turned and left the headmaster office.
