Year Seven at Hogwarts

Summary: Snape has never been nice to Gryffindors so why is he starting now?

Prologue: The trio's last year at Hogwarts would be a turning point of time. Hermione was Head Girl as she and everyone else expected. What they didnt expect was Draco Malfoy as Head Boy. Harry was captain of the Quidditch Team. Ron and Hermione had finally admitted they liked each other and were finally a couple. The past summer though one had passed to the next world, taking a part of Harry with them.

Chapter One: An Unexpected Surprise

Harry had finally returned to Hogwarts after a troubled summer. The Second War had really started and the time would soon come when he would have to face Voldemort. This didn't trouble him very much as he was busy watching the new sorting. Usually this was not an object of great interest, but a new girl had come to Hogwarts. She looked as if she would be in his year.

McGonagall soon called her name. "Dawn, Aurana." The black haired, blue eyed girl walked nervously to the sorting hat and put it on. It thought for a moment and then announced "Gryffindor!" Snape who never payed attention during Sorting watched the girl. Harry glanced his way and frowned. What evil could Snape being planning this time?

Hermione smiled at Aurana as she took her seat beside her. "Welcome to Hogwarts." Aurana smiled back. "Thanks. I just hope I'm not too far behind." "If you need any help, just ask me. Most of the teachers are ok, except for Professor Snape. He doesn't like Gryffindors."

Aurana's reaction was most unexpected. "I'm sure we'll get along fine." Ron gaped at her. "No one gets along with Snape. He HATES Gryffindors." Hermione nodded fervently. "He gave Harry zeros just because he didn't like him. You should try not to get on the bad side of–" The conversation though was cut short by Snape passing by their table. He gave them all a glare of loathing. "Told you so." Ron stated and began to eat his porkchops.
