Standing next to the bed smiling watching Harry sleep Hermione turned towards the

window. Outside a gentle rain fell hitting the windowpane. Closing her eyes in thought

Hermione knew they didn't have much time left to prepare the others before the final

battle on old hollows eve. If they were not ready, if he was not ready they would all be

lost.

Lost in thought she didn't notice he father standing in the doorway. Looking at his

daughter glazing out of the window Severus eyes went to the bed see the boy who lived

there, he could feel the old jealousy flowing thru him. "Don't you think it a little foolish

to revile yourself to him so soon?" Severus called.

Turning Hermione walked over to the doorway were her father stood and said "No, we

will have very little time to prepare them as it is, if he's not ready we are lost. If we are to

destroy the dark lord we must make choices, even if thows choices end in death. I spent a

year coming to terms with my destiny and preparing for it, we have very little time left,

before the end of this war .I will be sending notes to each professor telling them what

students will be involved in the special project that Grandfather will be telling the

students and staff about this morning at breakfast."

"What project?" Severus said looking at his daughter in question. Watching is daughter

walk back over to the bed and sits down and gentle wake the young man asleep, Severus

knew he would not get any answers now. Turning he swept from the room to find

Elizabeth.

Watching Harry rub his eyes and reach for his glass Hermione couldn't help but smile.

"You had better hurry sleepy head you'll miss breakfast and there is going to be a special

announcement."

Pulling himself up Harry looked into Hermione's eyes and said" I don't care I want to

spend my morning with you."

Standing and reaching for Harry's hand and pulling him from the bed she said, "As

temping as that may sound I'm afraid you must be present for this announcement."

Sigh Harry walked over to were his robes lay and began to dress. Watching the man she

loved dress Hermione hope that everything they were working for would pay off in the

end for all the sakes."

After he was dressed Harry said, "I'm ready, when will I see you again."

Smiling Hermione said "I'm coming with you silly." Turning back in to Crookshanks

Hermione rubbed up against Harry's leg and meowed.

Looking down in shock all Harry could say was you were with me at the Weasley's."

Smiling he reached down picked up the ginger cat and said, "I love you Crookshanks."

Rubbing her head against Harry's face Crookshanks meowed and leapt out of his arms

and out the chamber door.

Following Crookshanks out the chamber came to a dead stop seeing Crabbe and Goyle

had cornered Hermione in cat form. Pulling his wand out of his pocket, Harry was about

to cast hex after hex at them when both fell backwards onto the floor. Rushing over to

Crookshanks, Harry picked her up and turned to walk around the two slytherns coming to

an abrupt stop seeing Malfoy hold his want. "What do you want Malfoy?" Harry said.

Sneering Draco said "Don't worry Potter if I wanted to curse her cat I never would

hexed those two fools.

Nodding to Malfoy, Harry began to walk away when he heard Draco say "She was my

friend too you know, she was the only one who was nice to me when my mother was

killed last term. She was my first real friend Potter, and I plan to be right next to you

when Voldemort comes in the final battle."

Seeing the silent tears in his enemy's eyes Harry nodded in silent understanding for the

other boy's pain. "Come on Malfoy, Dumbledore has an announcement, and I have a

feeling it will involve us."

Following Harry Up the steps Draco knew in his soul he had just made the final choice,

he had chosen the right side this time.

Entering the Great hall side by side Harry walked over to the Gryffindor table, Draco

heading to the Slytherin table. The whole hall had grown quiet upon seeing the two

enemies walk in to the hall together.

Sitting down at the table next to Ron, Harry began filling a plate up and eating. Looking

at his best friend Ron knew something had happened, the emptiness was gone from

Harry's face. Just when Ron was about to ask Harry what was going on the headmaster

called "May I have your attention please."

Once Albus knew everyone was waiting him to speak he raised his voice and said, "As

your all aware two years ago Voldemort came back to power. In our continue battle to

prepare you all for the coming war there will be additional defense class's for the whole

school. There will also be drills held thru out the day to practice getting the younger

students to safety with in a chamber below the school, were they will be safe during the

battle. It has come to our attention that the battle will take place here at Hogwarts and if it

is during the school term we want you all to be prepared and safe. To help prepare you all

for this the Order of the Phoenix and the Order of Avalon with both will be present this

school term. As they teach you valuable lessons on how to protect yourself and to disarm

others I ask that you show them respect. As the head of the order of phoenix I have

compiled a list of 7th year students who will be inducted into the order. As have the order

of Avalon. Any student on this list will not be going to extra class that will be offered to

the rest of the school but will under go training with myself and a few order other

members of the order. As you know we lost a student this summer, the training you will

all under go will keep us from losing any more. A few of the order members you already

know, the others I will introduce you too tonight at dinner. Your professors each have a

list of the students who will be inducted into the order and will advise you were you will

need to go during your first class and with that said enjoy breakfast. Turning Albus

walked to the door behind the head table and went to the hospital wing to see if Madam

Pomfrey patients were ready to meet the students.
