Disclaimer: Don't own. Own poem, but not concept.

Inspiration tapped me on the shoulder to write this poem.

Guess whose POV!

There's a Demon within each of them that no one but I can see.

As I feel their waves of negative emotion I wonder…

Who is the real demon?

There's a Demon within each of them that no one but I can see.

They think they have an outlet,

A villain to pour their own mistakes upon.

As Catullus so bravely said,

We cannot see our own faults.

There's a Demon within each of them that no one but I can see.

I'm not the real bad guy here.

Some people are just too stupid to realize this little fact.

I'm not as idiotic as I seem.

How would you act if everyone refused to teach you anything?

There's a Demon within each of them that no one but I can see.

Honestly, have I ever done anything, a single thing, to cause you to hate me so?

Do I whisper in front of you faces cruel, unjust words?

Do I throw stones at you, hurt you, break you?

None of these things are humane.

But if you aren't humane, then what are you?

There's a Demon within each of them that no one but I can see.

As I rise to greet the sun, my supposed alter ego,

I raise my unhurt mask once more.

Who is the real demon?

As I stare down the bloodied streets of Konoha that I have created,

I wonder.
