You see me as I am everyday
Nothing but a clown
A fool
The comic relief guy
Here to make you laugh
And smile
Telling corny jokes
And doing bizarre things
Just to brighten your day
But...
Is this what you really see in me?
If you do...then you know nothing about me
The true me
Behind this mask I wear
The guy who is
Angry
Sad
Frustrated
Wanting to belong
To love.....
You think I tell you everything
That I'm some open book to read
You're wrong
I keep everything bottled up
Lock up all my secrets and dreams
And put on a mask
Everyday.....
To protect myself
From the disappointment
When you find out about the truth
The real me.
