Sorry, Sorry, Sorry, Sorry, Sorry, Sorry, Sorry, Sorry, and more sorryness for the delayed update. I have a reason, though! My computer crashed and I lost all savings for this chapter. Microsoft Word crashed along with it and now I can't type at my house. So, enjoy new chapter. Thanks to all who reviewed! And to sonicfangirl, how did you know?

Ch6:Escape from Blackside

Thunder. Darkness. Pain. Elani's voice, replaced by an evil one. Drake, but slowly becomes someone else. He isn't Drake, but yet lived with us for a year now. Thunder, Darkness, Pain.

Heron groaned and sat up. His head throbbed. What had happened?

"The fall..." he said to no one. As he slowly stood up and refocused the area he was in, he saw that he was trapped inside a metal cage. He looked to the left and saw what looked like Ion trapped in a similar cage.

"What the h-!" he started, but then a cold and familiar voice slithered in his way.

"Now, now, Heron. I wouldn't expect fowl language from you," jeered the voice of Slade.

"Shut up!" he roared.

"Is that any way to talk to the one who has control of your life?" he asked calmly.

"What are you talking about, Slade?" demanded Heron.

"I could easily just copy you, and end your life like I did to your friend," Slade taunted.

"What?"

"A simple push of a button and you'll be with the real Drake,"

"You mean," Heron started. "That Drake is innocent of this twisted mansion?"

"Partially true," Slade said. "He is, but his counterpart isn't,"

As if waiting for signal, Drake stepped out of the shadows. He grinned at Heron.

"You little betrayer!" growled Heron.

"But Heron," started Slade. "How can he betray someone who his loyalties never belonged to?" Heron glared in Disgust at the two.

Elani led the group through the twisting halls of the mansion. They had planned to check out Terra's room first to see if she was still there. If not, they would head to Ion's room, followed by Heron's room.

It was a good plan, and the whole team thought so. All except for Starfire, who still disliked the girl for some reason.

"If you really do not know where Terra is, then can you at least tell me why you wanted her for your team?" Starfire asked.

"Because she has control over an element," Elani said simply. Starfire blinked a few times.

"I do not understand," she replied. Elani sighed.

"Every member of our team has complete control over an element," Elani began. "Ion controls water, Heron can make fire do anything, and I control all plant life." Starfire stared at the girl.

"But what of the one Terra called Drake?" asked Starfire.

"I think he's the reason that the Mansion is like this," she said. "Drake has complete control over all darkness, and he has been known to do things like this."

"He has done this before?!" asked Starfire.

"Not this," Elani said. "But he has been known to be able to do things like this. Sending villains in to eternal darkness, making them go insane; placing anyone in a coma with the snapping of his fingers. This was our worst fear that he would turn to the dark side."

The conversation ended, and the Titans trudged on through the halls with Elani leading them. What they could expect when they got to Terra's new room, none knew.

"Now remember," Drake started. "This is just a test run to see if the device works," He clipped the device he had just finished building around Terra's waist.

"Before I go," Terra interrupted. "I need to ask you something."

"So ask," he said flatly.

"When you took me here," Terra started. "Why did you lock them inside your room?" Drake was silent for a little.

"I didn't," he said after a while. "Slade has this whole place wired. He can control something by a push of a button."

"Oh," Terra said.

"Any way," Drake finished. "I think it's all set. You'll be warped to the front lawn in the real world for a few seconds."

"Alright," Terra said with enthusiasm.

"One more thing," Drake began. "You'll be just like a ghost when you go back, so don't be surprised if you can hover around and go through things."

"Ok," Terra said. "Let's go." Drake flipped a switch, and Terra disappeared from the room.

Elani opened the doors to Terra's room, and the team immediately whished that she hadn't. The room was completely evil in every sense of the word.

Beast Boy took a step in, and turned around.

"This place is weird, but I think it's safe-!" he was cut off as something grabbed him, and flew off.

"Beast Boy!" cried Starfire. Robin took the lead.

"Titans, go!" He gave the signal, and they took off after the thing that grabbed him. Starfire flew off after it first.

"Time to steal the show," Elani whispered, and she crunched her hands into fists. The ground beneath her feat began to glow, and a giant flower was in place of where she was standing. She moved her fists forward, and the flower flew after Starfire.

"Huh?" was all Starfire could say before the flower zoomed past her.

"Let go of him!" cried Elani as she extended one fist towards the black blobby thing extending from the wall. It was immediately wrapped in thorns, and recoiled back to the wall; dropping Beast Boy.

"Yes!" Elani exclaimed in triumph. "I saved Beast boy from that thing! In your face, Starfire!"

"Very nice," said Starfire slyly. "Now maybe you could save Beast Boy from his fall?" She pointed downward, and there was Beast Boy, falling head first to the ground.

"Whoops," Elani said in embarrassment.

"Yes, whoops indeed," said Starfire. She flew down, grabbed Beast Boy's arm, and pulled him up to safety.

"Game tied, overtime." Raven said.

Sunlight blazed on her as the gentle breeze whispered through the trees. Drake had done it. Terra was back in the real world. She was in front of the Elemental Squad Mansion.

Drake was right. It was just like being a ghost. Terra could hover around, and go through things. She knew that this would last for only a while, but it felt like forever.

As she looked around, she saw something that made her sick. She was still trapped inside the giant black dome, and her friends were scattered on the lawn in front of her.

"Beast Boy!" she began before she disappeared into the darkness.

Ion groaned, and slowly opened his eyes. He was on his back, and in some kind of cage. He rolled over to his stomach, and attempted to push himself up off the bottom of the cage, only to collapse in pain.

"You must've broken your arm when you fell," said a familiar voice.

"Heron?" asked Ion as he rolled to his back again and used his legs to get up.

"Yeah," Heron confirmed. "Looks like we both fell into his trap,"

"Who's trap?" Ion asked.

"Mine," said a sinister voice in the background.

"Who are you?" Ion demanded.

"Didn't Heron tell you yet?" said the voice. "I am Slade, and you are my bait,"

"For what?" asked Ion.

"Not for what," Slade whispered. "But for who."

"What do you want us for?" Ion roared.

"You really don't know much, do you?" Slade said calmly. "I'm using you to teach someone a lesson. You'll see," he added as he saw the curious face on Ion.

Elani slowly pushed the door open to Ion's room. Inside, there was nothing but a waterfall pouring endless amounts of black water into a lake that seemed eternally empty. The walls were bare.

"Well, this is a dead end," Beast Boy groaned.

"Maybe not," Elani said.

"What are you talking about?" demanded Beast Boy. "This room is completely empty!"

"Not exactly," Robin answered.

"Oh great," Beast Boy said. "Now Robin's in on it too?"

"Actually," Raven started. "You're the only one who doesn't get it yet." Beast Boy glared.

Elani sighed. "If that waterfall is pouring thousands of gallons of water into the lake, and it never fills, then where is it going?" she asked rhetorically.

Drake waited expectantly for Terra to return. When she finally did, he was happy to see that his invention had worked.

"I guess spending a year in a basement kinda helps your creativity, huh?" Drake joked.

Terra gave a half-hearted smile. Something was still troubling her. How did Slade know what to do the day she left the Titans? Could he have planned all of this?

"Terra?"

Drakes voice snapped her out of her own thoughts.

"Yeah?" she asked.

"Are you okay?"

She faltered a little. "Fine," she said after a while.

"Then let's go," With that, Drake and Terra vanished from Blackside, and returned to sunlight.

The "lake" had actually been a tunnel. There was a ladder leading down to a strange metal landing connecting to an underground path that lead away from the waterfall.

The path looked like a hallway from a factory. The walls, floor, and ceiling were made out of a shining metal. There was even a caution side to the left of the entrance.

"What is this place?" asked Starfire.

"I have no idea," Elani whispered.

"Well," started Beast Boy. "Whatever this place is, Terra's most likely at the end of it! Come on!"

The real mansion was beautiful, and everything Drake remembered. The chandelier, five doors. He loved it. To be back at his old home was heaven.

"Now," started Drake. "Where were you when you passed out?"

"Down one of the halls leading to the bathroom," Terra replied.

"Then we'll want to go down the middle door on that landing."

"Okay," Terra ended the conversation, and they silently trudged up the stairwell.

"So," started Starfire. "Why is it that your team has taken residence in our city?"

"Simple," said Elani. "We heard about Terra, and wanted her to join our team; the only problem was that you can't exactly move an entire mansion. So we decided just to fly there on the jet. When we had finally decided to leave, Drake said that he could move the mansion. We didn't question him."

"Please continue," Starfire begged.

"He told us to fly there and he would take care of the mansion. When we arrived at a supposedly empty lot, the mansion was there. We asked Drake how he did it, but he didn't say."

Starfire flew in silence around the corner with the group, and slowly came closer to the door at the end of the hallway.

Terra couldn't believe her eyes. As she had rounded a corner in the hallway, she saw herself. Her own body was laying on the ground, unconscious.

"Told you," Drake said, seeing the look on her face. "A little freaky, huh?"

"Your telling me," Terra whispered. "So how are you going to bring the mansion back to the real world?"

"Just watch," he said. He took a few steps, and stopped. Slowly, he turned around, and a black orb formed in his hands. Terra was reminded of the terror she felt the other night.

"You're going to pass out again," Drake whispered. "You'll wake up on the floor where you can see yourself."

Terra nodded, and held her breath as the orb in his hands engulfed her like it had before. The darkness consumed her, and she lost contact of reality.

Beast boy was the first to reach the door, and the first to see the dark glob massing out from it.

"Dude! What is that?" he asked.

Before any of them had a chance to answer, the orb swept over them, and they saw nothing.

Terra groaned, and rubbed her head. Light shown through a window. She was back in the real world.

As she looked around, she saw Drake standing in a corner. They weren't in the same hall as before.

"Where are we?" Terra asked.

"In front of my room," Drake responded. At the look of confusion on Terra's face, he continued. "I carried you here with my powers because I knew how long it would take for you to wake up."

"Why are we here though?" Terra asked.

"Because the clone Drake built a stair case in my room that leads down to Slade's lab."

"How did you know?" asked Terra.

"I guessed," he explained simply. "Mostly to the fact that my room is the only room that no one would ever find a secret passage."

"Oh," Terra said. "Well, let's end this!"

"You can, but I have to stop someone." Drake said, and disappeared into the shadows before Terra could ask why.

Beast Boy slowly pushed himself off the ground, and blinked a few times before believing where he was.

"Dude! No way!"

The others were woken boy the noise he made, and sat up next to him.

"We're right back where we started!" cried Beast Boy.

"It is not possible!" Starfire said. "How are we back on the front lawn when we were in a secret path only moment before?"

"I don't know," said Robin. "But I think we should be more worried about that thing over there,"

As Robin spoke, a strange black glob appeared on the sunny lawn that looked like the one that engulfed them earlier, yet it was some how different. The glob slowly took form of a man, about fifteen or so, and seemed to harden. Cracks slowly appeared in the sculpture, and it burst, to reveal a boy clothed in black with uncontrollable hair. Elani's mouth opened in horror as she recognized who the person was.

"My name is Drake," he said in a deep voice. "And none of you are ever going to leave this place again."

Elani's shadow shook a little, yet she remained still.

Okay, that's the end. The next chapter's the last, so I'm going to try and get it up quickly. Please review!
