We all know the great story of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, but does anyone know what happened to those poor kids who had to learn a lesson. Today we'll visit the home of Violet Beauregard, the poor girl who had such a loving of gum that she got blown up into a blueberry.
After hours of juicing they finally got her down to her regular size, maybe even a bit skinnier, but no matter how much they tried the purple tint has never left her skin, not even to this day. She was forced to start home schooling, to embarrassed, to frightened to show up to school how she is.
She gave up gum chewing, even the mention of anything chewy makes her break out into hives.
"I can't even eat taffy, starbursts, anything that is chewy anymore. Makes me think back to three years ago....well you know what happened" Violet stated when we interviewed her. The now sixteen year old should be getting her license soon, should have had her first date, her first kiss, even maybe her first feel up. But she is to afraid to leave the house without a paper bag on her head, not even to go get the mail for her parents.
"She just sits in her room all day, staring at the ceiling. She won't allow anything purple in her room, or even blue when it once was her favorite color. She's even asked if she can change her name. All she wears anymore is black..." A tearful Mrs. Beauregard stated, then quickly left for she needed to cry.
Was this truly the right lesson for a girl, who was just addicted to bubble gum? Did fates truly have to scar a child so much where she can barely even leave her room to take a shower? This reporter thinks it's just a bit creepy. Tune in next time when we visit the home of Mike Teavee, the three inch boy.
