A/N Ok, all my chapters are likely to be VERY short like this one, but they should hopefully be out every couple of days. The reason they have to be so short is that I'm getting a lot of homework and I don't have that much time to update this story, let alone the others on my separate account for fanfiction. SORRY! Chapter two
James walked down the boys' dormitory stairs at three in the morning because he couldn't sleep. Going towards the couch, he noticed that it was already occupied. Remus and Lily were asleep on the couch. Remus was leaning against the back of the couch with his feet up on the coffee table in front of him, with Lily laying across his lap, her head on the armrest. They look so cute! Especially Lily...wait did I just say that? No, she's Remus' girlfriend, not yours! Get a grip...James suddenly felt the urge to brush away the few strand of hair that fell across her face. He mentally slapped himself, then, not being able to bare with the tension, he left the common room and went back up to his dorm. Falling on his bed, he thought to himself, what's going on with me? Shaking the image of Lily from his mind, he fell asleep, dreaming of soaring over the Quidditch Pitch with the House Cup in his hands, seeing Lily's pretty face in the crowd, smiling up at him, Remus nowhere to be seen. WHAT??
He awoke with a start and stared at his alarm clock, 7:39 am. Glad to see that Remus was back in his bed, then erasing that jealous thought from his mind, he got ready for the stressful day ahead.
