A/N: Okay… Like I said in the summary, this was an assignment for English class. We had to write a poem based on our unit, and since we had read 1984, I decided to write my poem on O'Brien.

O'Brien

I will oppress
I will lie
I will control the mind

I will conspire
I will act
Into their minds shall I hack

I will be that voice inside their head
Warning them, enslaving them, controlling them,
Behind which their thought flow stems.

Willingly, they will give up conscious thought
Sacrificially to their leader
Big Brother, our glorious leader

Rats in a cage, death by drowning
Thoughts of fears have send them howling
One by one they will betray
And one by one are they enslaved

Love for Big Brother and for the party
Will fester like mold in their mind.
Corrupt, until their mind goes blind

Propaganda, propaganda…
By chicanery we'll steal your mind.

A/N: Okay, so it's no work of art… But it's actually full of inside jokes and such… So I thought it was pretty funny.
I fixed the part "chicanery." I had originally placed "trickery" there, but from a review I realized it was a bit... off. First I put, "imposture," but imposture sounds funny there too (for me anyways)... So now it's chicanery (I love dictionary dot com)
