Grissom was headed to bed when there was a knock on his door. Opening it, he was surprised to find Catherine on his doorstep.
"Could I come in?" she asked.
"Sure," he said, stepping back to allow her entry. He gestured for her to take a seat on his couch. After shutting the door, he joined her.
"I wanted to thank for earlier."
"For what?"
"For letting me take this case."
"You're implying that I had a choice."
"And for being there for me at the morgue."
Grissom shrugged. "Where else would I be when my best friend needed me?"
