"Hey, Cath, can I ask you something?"

"Sure, Nicky. What's up?" Catherine asked, waiting for him to catch
up.

"I was just wondering why Grissom bought Sara a Christmas present,
but not the rest of us."

Catherine paused before asking, "Did you buy him a present?"

"Well, no," Nick replied.

Catherine waited for him to figure it out.

"Oh," he said a moment later. "Did you get him a present?" Seeing
her look, he changed his question. "What did he give you?"

Catherine adjusted her shirt, showing him a hickey. Placing a finger
to her lips, she winked and walked away.
