You've left me for her, I can see. It was expected, after all, it was supposed to happen.
The heroes always end up with who they want, right? And the villain is left to rot, no one ever questions what happens to them... it's expected. I didn't need you to think otherwise.
But god, I wanted you too. I wanted you to try. Pry me open and force me reveal to you my secrets. Even when I had to push you away, make you hate me and break you...
Why didn't you try ?
I'm not worth it, am I?
But couldn't you lie? A lie would've made me last longer... A lie...
... was all I wanted. Couldn't you give me just one ?
The villain is left to die, his blood seeping through the earth and causing the brightest red flowers to blossom. He lets out a cruel laugh, loud enough for the hero who is walking away, to look back.
'What are you laughing about? You've lost.' inquires the hero, eyes narrowed in curiosity.
The bleeding man continues to laugh, finally pausing long enough for a soft, sad smile to make it's way to his face.
'Lost? Don't be a fool. I got what I wanted.' the villain replies, turning to face the hero.
The hero growls, frustrated. 'You're the fool. What have you possibly gained by this?' His voice was shaky, tears forming within his eyes.
The villain laughs again.
'I've made you cry. Those tears... belong to me. When you can't... they are mine, forever. Because you cry in my name.'
It's funny, because you've never seen my cry, now have you, my dear Yuki?
But that's alright. Because I've seen you.
And I don't expect you to understand...
... the kindness within cruelty...
