The Ninth Chevron

Chapter One

SG-1

Doctor Daniel Jackson started out his day as if he was just a normal citizen of Earth. But the fact was he wasn't just an average person, Daniel is one of a select group of people that know of the S.G.C. Stargate Command – a highly classified, military-run organization.

Anyways, Daniel awoke at six-thirty a.m. to begin his regular routine, only to be assaulted by images and sounds when Daniel went to reach for an oat bran muffin.

The images consisted of a Stargate being powered by the ancient power cell that changed to the signs that corresponded to the constellations Pegasus, Orion, Draco, Gemini, Cancer, Ursa Major, Cassiopeia, Sirius, and the Earth Point of Origin.

The next image, was that of Stargate team SG-1 going through the Stargate, lastly an image of a shadowy crimson-eyed cloaked figure being slain.

"Wow, what was that?" Daniel asked, while he decided to forgo the muffin and instead to go for a donut.

An hour later, Daniel reported to Brigadier-General Jack O'Neill then went to go to his office when Jack told him to sit down while Lieutenant Colonel Samantha Carter and Teal'c made their way up to his office. Once the two were seated Jack started to talk.

"Is it just me or does it seam that there has not been that much Goa'uld activity lately?" Jack asked the rest of SG-1.

"Sir, I did notice that myself. It seams as though they are on vacation," Sam answered.

At this point Daniel had decided to bring up his vision. Recognizing that the cloaked figure looked a lot like Anubus. "Ah . . . guys this may be slightly of topic, but do you remember when we were able to dial and eighth chevron?"

"Duh, yeah," Jack said remembering how he had an entire race worth of knowledge downloaded into his mind.

"Well do you think that it would be possible tot dial a ninth chevron? If so I may know the address where the ultimate Goa'uld fighting machine may be." Daniel said.

Sam replied, "A ninth chevron? It would be possible, just like using an international identification code on a phone. And with the ancient power cell we have the power to dial out. But how did you find this out?"

"This morning images flashed in my mind. Images of the gate dialing nine chevrons, all four of us going through the gate then Anubus being defeated. I know this sounds crazy, but something tells me that this is real. Please believe me," Daniel pleaded to the others.

"How can this be so?" Teal'c asked.

"I don't know, but I do know if we don't leave now, we may not have another opportunity to go," Daniel stated.

"I need to clear this with the president but in the mean time, get packing," Jack ordered of the others.

Two hours later Jack had clearance from the president and Colonel Makepeace had now become the temporary head of the S.G.C. until SG-1 returned. With enough supplies and weaponry to last a few months along with a couple of personal items, SG-1 was ready to go. All that was needed was for Daniel to dial out. With the Iris open and the event horizon stabilized, Stargate team SG-1 left for the unknown world a head of them
