"Ms. Granger." A rather frazzled-looking man greeted her from his desk as she entered the office. "So glad you were able to get here on such short notice."
"The Ministry considers situations such as this to be high priority." She took a seat by the desk, pulling a small notepad out of her satchel & then placing the bag on the floor. "Unfortunately, I didn't have time to prepare. Could you fill me in out what exactly happened?"
"Certainly." He opened a file folder and pulled out a typed statement. "Mrs. Thickey states that, while she was tending her garden, he came rushing towards her. Apparently, he was screaming something about her being a hag. She didn't want to be too descriptive - personal offence, I think. She is willing to drop all charges against him, as long as he is returned to St. Mungo's. Oh, and she'd also like to have an autographed copy of his autobiography, if possible."
Hermione nodded, jotting down a few notes. "I'm sure we can work something out. Now I have the authorisation to take him into my custody & return him to the hospital. Is he ready for transport?"
The man pulled a large keyring out of a desk drawer & got up to unlock the door leading to the inner room. Hermione walked up behind him, noticing that her prisoner seemed rather worse for wear. "Pro- Mr. Lockhart? Are you ready to go home?"
