Revival

When Belgarion awoke one morning, he felt a little odd. The sunlight was there but it wasn't very bright, and it wasn't very warm even though it was the middle of summer on the isle of Riva.

It had been 11 years since Erriond had become an official god. Ce'Nedra had borne two children since then, twins, whom they named Din and Ella. At this point in time the children were as follows: Geran was twelve, Beldaran was nine and the twins were six years old. Geran had now been pressed into service as a firewood carrier. However, rather than walking down all the stairs to the kitchen, and to the courtyard with the wood pile in it, he would look out the window with a slightly concentrated look and perform a translocation, and the wood would appear in the wood bin. The first few times didn't go as smoothly, since he overshot the bin and buried the wood in the wall. There was also the time when he accidentally threw the wood into his mother's bed, while she was sleeping...

Beldaran grew as well as any Dryad should: slowly. She was as tall as her mother by eight and also received her fiery temper from Ce'Nedra. There were many squabbles that broke out over the dumbest little things.

Finally there were Din and Ella, named after the two lovers they had never seen after the day Yarblek signed her to Beldin. They spoke to each other in twin speak, which only they understood. One day Garion realized that the family trait of twins had also bred true, all the way through his ancestors.
