Chapter One

Harry looked up at the ceiling and sighed. Hogwarts... It was over... They'd won... Harry sat up quickly. "Why the bloody hell am I sitting here? Voldemort's dead, I'm a Hogwarts graduate, and Ginny's waiting for me downstairs!"

Harry leapt out of his bed, flattened his rumpled hair, and apparated down the stairs. He entered the kitchen of the burrow and saw that all of his friends were seating at the table for breakfast. There was Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Fred, George, Draco, Susan, and Charity. Harry grinned at his friends as he sat down at a chair and began to quickly eat his breakfast.

In the beginning of Harry's 7th year, Draco had admitted to Harry that he didn't want to be a deatheater like his father. He was nothing like his father. Lucius Malfoy shamed the family name. When Lucius died, Draco did not cry, did not whine. Draco didn't even carry a frown on his face. Draco joined Dumbledore's Army (DA) and helped defeat You-Know-Who.

Susan Bones and Ron got together at the beginning of 7th year. Ron was totally head over heels for her. She was, in his eyes, perfect. She was smart, though not as smart has Hermione, and she was beautiful.

Charity Ivanova transferred from Durmstrang to Hogwarts for her 7th year. She was sorted into Slytherin, where she fell in love with Draco. She had long blonde hair, emerald green eyes, and almost rivaled Hermione in the NEWTs. Her brother was a chaser for Bulgaria International with Viktor Krum in the Quidditch Cup.

The summer before Harry's 6th year, Remus Lupin married Nymphadora Tonks and decided to adopt Harry as their son. Harry got the family that he always wanted.

After their 7th year, Ron tried out for Keeper for the Chudley Cannons, and made it. Hermione ended up becoming the History of Magic professor after Professor Binns retired. Harry started Auror training the day after school was out. Draco made the Appleby Arrows team as Seeker and his girlfriend made the same team as a chaser. Ginny was getting ready to go back to Hogwarts to finish her 7th year, and Susan Bones decided to stay at home and be a housewitch for her fiancé, Ron. Fred and George were still running their joke shop and Lee Jordan had joined them, as well. Ginny helped out at the shop during the summers, and her brothers paid her 5 sickles a day.

Harry got up from the table as he finished eating. "Ginny, can I speak to you for a moment?"

Ginny looked up at Harry apprehensively. "Sure, I guess." She got up and followed him into the study down the hall.

When Ginny was in the door, Harry quickly shut it behind her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her gently. He then bent down on one knee.

"Ginny," Harry said, quietly. "I know you're still in school and I want you to finish first, but I can't live without you. You are the most beautiful witch I have ever met. It would do me great honor, if you'd be my wife."
