"Beautiful Memories"

Beautiful memories hold many treasured
days and those day turn into years
and years into a century eternally
Sitting next to the go-shinboku, I sorrow over her death. I just wished she were here now telling me to sit and touch my ear. But now, I can only dream about you.
I remember it just as if it happened yesterday.
We were battling Naraku. Sango and Miroku Battle with Kohaku while Kagome and Shippo where to be away from the battle. I went forward to the battle.
Sango had finally put Kohaku in rest and went to join me with Miroku and Kirara.
We all went to battle. We all tried our best to beat him but failed. When Naraku was about to strike us with one final blow, Kagome shot Naraku with her purified arrow. The arrow went straight to where he imbedded the shikon shard, his heart. Before he went to hell, he poison Kagome.
We finally stopped Naraku but with a price. Kagome was dying. I wrapped my arm around her and comforted her.
Her last dying wish was "Inu-yasha, before I go... I just wanna to tell you that I what you to be the new gurdian of the shikon jewel and that even though i'm gone, I will always be with you. Never say good bye Inuyasha. I lov-"
She didn't even finish because death took her before she could even finished!
What kind of protector am I! I was supposed to protect her from any harm but instead she protected me!
In my hand is the shikon jewel what Kagome died for. She died for the jewel, her friend, the future and me. I have vow to myself to keep Kagome dying wish for I couldn't keep my other promised.
I have nothing left in the living world. But I knew perfectly well that Kagome wouldn't want me to die for her. At least I have memories of what she gave me to keep me happy.
I remember when I first met her at the go-shinboku. Even though I threaten her to give me the jewel, she wanted me to be friend. I also remember when and I was poison by the spider head in my human form, she cried over me. In my life I have never seen a person cried over me beside my mother.
Turning my head was Shippo sleeping on a branch. Right after Kagome died, I have adopted Shippo as my son. Shippo was now mature and a strong kitsune. He at lease have five tails.
Than I turned my head toward Where Sango's village was. Sango and Miroku has married a years after Naraku defeat. They now have at least ten kids because of that perverted monk.
Right next to me was a shrine dedicated to Kagome. Kagome was cremated there. We named the shrine after Kagome. This is how the Higurashi Shrine started.
Thinking about this made time go by. It is almost dark. I stood up and punched Shippo to wake him up. When we were getting ready to go home, I looked back at memories of the unforgotten. Thinking of Kagome and time we spent, Good or bad, It was all beautiful memories.
