1Inu Yasha stood at the top of the hill staring out into space. Kagome had been gone for a month now. She said she would be back. She promised she would be back. She even swore.

... but she wasn't back yet.

Inu Yasha had tried so many times to go to her era. To try and get back to her. To see her, smell her, and even touch her. Even if that blessed touch was a harsh grab to her arm, or a slap from her to his face.

He missed her.

He realized now how much he missed her. She was always there, always willing to talk, always sweet, kind, and just....Kagome.

He wanted her so badly to be by his side. Yeah they fought, and screamed at each other, but he would never ever abandon her, and he belived she would never abandon him. It was just like that. Even when Inu Yasha agreed to always protect Kikyou, Kagome stayed with him.

He looked back now, and realized something. Kikyou didn't want him.

Kikyou didn't need him.

And....

He didn't need Kikyou. She was just clay, and dirt with a mask of a child hood love, or friend. He relized how much hate she had caused. She knew the truth, but refused to belive it. She wanted to hate him, she was looking for a reason to hate him. He hated her for that.

He pitied her, and he turned away. She was just like all the others, wanting to hate him.

But then, a woman came to his life, showing him peace, happiness, respect, and love. He spurned her. He told her that he never even liked her for herself at all.

He looked down to the ground, seeing the stones at his feet. He kneeled, and let a single tear fall. He just couldn't bare it. He knew now. He knew it. This was never to happen. He...a lonely, lowly hanyou was to get no one, and nothing. He was just a coward. A half breed coward.

He looked up when he caught the scent on the breeze. His eyes widened, and his breathe became short.

No....

No.

She...she couldn't be...

Could she?

He inhaled deeply, and then set off running.

'Kagome...' his only thought, running over, and over in his mind.

As he reached the well of time, he looked in to see an irate teenager in the well. Her green skirt ruffled, and dirt smudged her cheek, giving her an innocent look. She looked up, and a scowl covered her face.

"I hope you learned your lesson Inu Yasha, I went away for two weeks, and–"she was cut off by the blur of red.

"Inu...Inu Yasha?" She asked quietly, as the red form hugged her tightly to his chest.

"Don't EVER cut me off again from you..." Inu Yasha wispered into her neck, stroking it lightly, with long strokes of his rough hands.

"Inu Yasha? I've only been gone for two weeks...." she said shakily.

"It's seemed like two eternity's..." He said roughly into her hair.

"Inu Yasha?" she asked, pulling lightly out of his grasp.

"What now?" He asked, looking angry.

"What're you–"she was interrupted again by Inu Yasha pullingh her to his chest again.

"Mine."

"What?" She looked up.

"You...are...mine..." he explained to her, looking her right in the eye.

"Wh-what? What on EARTH are you talking about?" she asked, a blush covering her face.

Inu Yasha smirked, and leaned down.

"I own you, your life, your body, and your soul. You're MINE Kagome. Mine." he wispered delicously next to her ear, gently nibbling on it.

"Inu..." Kagome asked, her knees weakining, and her grip loosening on him.

He pulled his mouth from her ear, and to her mouth, kissing her lightly, he picked her up bridal style, and flew of to the village. He smiled serenly to himself as he jumped.

'Mine Kagome....Mine.'

The one I see, the one I Hate

The burning of the fire ice

The one true word of Fate

The clasp from in the Vice

The horror of my Shame

The books of lords and Lore

The smell, and look the Same

The heart that beats in the Core

The sky and night forever Gone

The world from heaven to Hell

The world beyond my Bond

The word, her voice, a Bell
