Fathers Unwanted Chapter One
Note, please read: this IS a parody--see if you can figure out what I
mean by that…I'll give you a hint: It is a sin to kill a MOCKing bird!
It was a sunny day on Pivet Drive, and birds chirped outside the window. Inside #4, a small boy of 15 slept in his room.
His sleepo was interrupted by a sudden shout, "BOY! Get down here and
help with the breakfast!". Harry groaned and got up.
"Morning Uncle Vernon," said Harry sleepily when he got downstairs.
"Hrgh," grunted Uncle Vernon in response, "just take care of that bacon!" Dudley smirked at Harry evilly, and then went back to wolfing down his food. Harry looked on in disgust before going to help Ant Petunia with the breakfast.
"Oh, I almost forgot," said Petunia, "here is a list of chores for the
day." Harry looked over the list.
"But Aunt Petunia, I cant complete all of this today!"
"You can and you will," said Uncle Vernon, "because I will make you."
Harry groaned again. This was going to be a long summer.
After exausting himself out on the lawn, in the garage, and around the
house, Harry finally was able to drop into bed. Hedwig was waiting for
him. Hary smiled and stroked her affectionately. He then took the letter from her beak and opened it. It was from Ron:
Hey mate,
Sorry you cant come to The Burrow, but here is your early birthday
present. Hermione wrote to me, and is studying nonstop, as usual.
Tell me everything that goes on with you, and if the Dursleys give you
hell, I'll have mum send them a howler.
--Ron
Harry smiled after reading the letter. At least he still had his
friends. Maybe the summer would be tolerabvle after all.
