How Ironic
How ironic
That inside this tower
The people you see
Their lives filled with such irony
In every sense of the word.
You see the leader
His knowledge so thorough
But he falls for the girl
Who knows nothing at all
And she asks;
Her green eyes alight with curiosity
"Please, teach me,"
And he tries to teach her
But she'll never learn
While her mind wanders to his hidden eyes
Behind the mysterious black mask he wears
It only leaves her asking more.
And she knows how to live
Fly a foot off the ground
Every day
But he, to her dismay
Never seems to stop pacing.
How ironic
It makes you wonder
Why they're there at all.
You hear the distant chanting
Of the girl who shows nothing at all
Her violet eyes closed
While she enjoys the solitude
And chants her mystic phrase.
But someone's watching.
You see the boy, an emerald green
Who loves to hear the laughter
The laughter only he can bring to her
But, she cannot laugh
And yet, he tries.
There has been another
One that laughed, and seemed to love
But she was merely playing
Playing with his heart
Playing with her heart.
He found he valued loyalty
Over the ability
To give a happy grin
And so he will wait, until she lets him in
But she cannot let anyone in.
How ironic
It makes you wonder
Why they're there at all.
You see the hulking metal man
Bending over his custom car
Such concentration
But he's not thinking
His mind has wandered somewhere else.
A soul who thought evil was merely a thing
Not a person, a sad lonely girl
He came from the mission without a scratch
Not physically
But he can see;
His deception, so evil, so utterly wrong.
She loved him then
Before she knew
He was the guy she always fought
She had been taught
Exactly how to fight;
But, not like this.
At the school
They were a couple
Until she found out, and now they fight
How could they be enemies?
When they were the closest friends?
How ironic
It makes you wonder
Why they're there at all.
And this irony
In every heart
It makes one wonder why they try
But they will go until they die
How noble, but still;
How ironic.
