"The King Of All Dreaming Pirates"
by: Ruemaja Disclaimer: One Piece doesn't Belong to me.

If there were another way to describe Luffy other than simplicity, it would be "the king of all dreaming Pirates." True that most people who wanted to become pirates strived (and most of the times killed) for the greatest treasure of all called "One Piece". Gold Roger had left it somewhere in the Grand Line where all the dangers were. It was a great hiding place for the Pirate King's Heirloom.

When I first learned he was pirate, I realized right then and there that he was going to become the next Pirate King. There was no doubt about it even though he was lanky and such; the idea was still there. And when he tried to persuade me to join him and become a pirate too, I realized, even though I tried to protest, that denying him would be denying that promise to Kuina as well.

I had dreams too. Dreams to become the greatest swordsman in the world but compared to him, my dream was simpler and easier to attain. What would the price be should he become the greatest pirate in the world?

Would he have to stand on that executioner's platform just like Gold Roger?

Would he tell others to get the One Piece?

Or would he be the last of the Pirates Kings?

I asked him once as an answer he just gave me that wide grin. The same grin he wore on that executioner's platform when Buggy tried to kill him. The same.

"I wouldn't know." He replied then soon after the grin. "But I'll have to leave an heir right?" A strangely logical answer he gave me for once.

And he turned back to the sea, looking across the vast ocean, weaving his dream and our dreams as well.

I watched his back and I feel more determination to become what I had promised Kuina then. Once he becomes the Pirate King, I must become the one Greatest Swordsman in the world to protect my captain and King.

And he will become the next Pirate King and I shall stay by his side and gladly tell all when the time is came.

"This is Monkey D Luffy, The Pirate King, The King of All Dreaming Pirates!"

End Notes:

This was inspired by a front pic i saw of a doujinshi called "The King of Dreaming Pirate". I haven't seen the doujinshi itself. But I am quite curious.
