Draco's POV
I was devastated when I found out that there wasn't going to be any Quidditch this year and not for the reason that my housemates thought. Sure I love flying and I love Quidditch yet what I love more is watching Harry Potter fly. I remember our first year and his first time on a broomstick. I remember how well he could handle it, making it seem like an extension of him, and how graceful he was. It was like Harry was born to fly. Then he did that dive that made nearly everyone's heart stop as many were sure he wasn't going to be able to pull out of however beautiful the dive looked. Yet Harry did it, he pulled out of the dive and I have never doubted Harry's flying skills again. With Quidditch practice Harry has gained more finesse however I prefer it when he just flies naturally, with no rules or obligations. Just like that first time. I watch him some nights while he flies for hours; he always looks so peaceful and I assume that while he flies he lets go of all his troubles. Even when playing Quidditch he still manages to look calm and relaxed; it's as if he isn't really paying attention.
I thought that my opportunity to see Harry fly again had passed by this year when the cancelled Quidditch in favour of the Triwizard Tournament however he shocked me once again. No one other than Harry Potter would go up against a dragon on a broomstick armed only with a wand and the knowledge of a fourth year. All the other contestants had used various charms and spells that us fourth years didn't know. So I guess that in a way it makes sense for Harry to fly because he is a natural at it. It was so exciting to see Harry lure the dragon away from its nest and eggs. In a way the golden egg reminded me of a Snitch and I know it reminded Harry too. There is only one time I can recall where Harry has not caught the Snitch and that was last year when the Dementors invaded the pitch. When Harry got hurt he acted as if it were another Quidditch match and ignored it while he completed his task just like I the previous matches where he had been hurt and still succeeded in catching the Snitch this time however his goal was the golden egg and compared to a Snitch it was child's play.
"Damn," Pansy Parkinson swore, she is a girl in my year who has permanently attached herself to me whether I like it or not, "Potter survived with only a scratch."
"Yeah I was hoping the dragon would finish him of and save me the trouble." There's no chance that something as little as a dragon could finish Harry while he was flying. The only thing that can stop Harry when he's flying is himself. Harry truly was born to fly.
The End
A/N: This is the slightly revised version of his story. Hope you enjoy the improvement.
