Danny ran his hand down the Ghost Catcher, lost in thought. It had been how long since he had become a halfa, a ghost kid, a freak?

Sure, it was cool at times. He was a superhero for crying out loud! He fought ghosts, and he usually won, and on top of that, he could do all sorts of awesome things with his powers.

Then why was he considering giving it up?

Day after day, he would end up down here staring at the Ghost Catcher, knowing it would be the end to all his problems. He could just fly through and be normal, a normal kid again.

His family was worried about him, he knew. He wouldn't talk to them anymore, he rarely smiled, his grades were slipping lower... All because of some stupid superpowers!

Danny kicked the Ghost Catcher angrily, but caught it before it fell. It was all his fault anyway, he should've kept his nose out of the stupid portal, he wouldn't be like this.

And he didn't have to be like this. He could just fly through the Ghost Catcher, and it would be over, and he would be normal again.

Was he ever normal? Danny laughed bitterly. Normal's a relative term, he thought to himself... But it usually included not being half-ghost.

And he knew he couldn't keep on like this, staring at the end to his problems, wondering if he should go through. He had to end this, now.

Now or never...
