With great precision he spliced the body into two equal halves, smiling darkly as it fell apart. He loved the feel of the knife pushing past resistance. He loved the crunch it made when he cut too deeply. Loved to see the bright red colour spill over that pale yellow flesh. Loved the feel of its juices trickling over his hands.
Now that he had all he needed, he set to work. Meticulously carving out bits of flesh into his desired design. It required concentration, skill and steady hands. Intensity is what he craved.
Akabane did so love bunny apples.
