THE POWER OF A WISH
Chapter 5: What a way to begin the day!

Yami hit his head pretty hard, he could swear on that. He must still be dreaming. How else could it be, that his little cute hikari was sitting on his lap, cuddling him as there was no tomorrow. *Did I just say my Yugi is CUTE?! Since when did I call him that? Wow ... wait MY Yugi?! Oh yes, the blow must have been very very hard* Yami presumed.
Stiffened laughter brought his attention back to their little audience. Joey and Tristan were standing behind an old man, all having a silly and mocking grin on their faces. Especially Joey was on the edge of tears as he tried to hold back his laughter.
The old man was the first to speak "You must be Yami. Nice to meet you. I'm Sugoroku, Yugi's grandfather. Yugi told us what happened. We are very glad you are ok. You were injured badly, you know, but the puzzle saved you."
The spirit nodded in acceptance and extended his hand to shake hands with the other man. "Nice to meet you too" he answered. He felt dizzy, it was too much information at once.
"Though the puzzle healed the deep wounds, most of your injuries are still not completely healed. I advice you to take it slow the next few days. You can sleep in Yugi's bedroom if you want to or can take the guest room" Jiichan suggested.
"Thank you" Yami bowed his head slightly. He was ashamed that he cause them so much trouble, but he didn't have somewhere else to go and he has to stay near Yugi to protect him ...
The referred one made himself noticeable as he tried to find a more comfortable position. He wrapped his small hands gently around Yami's neck and hid his face in the place, where the spirit's neck meet the shoulder, to hid from the 'bad' light. The little one murmured softly "'ami (Yami)"
Yami looked at his hikari bemused, thinking about how adorable Yugi was. He blushed furiously when his friends and Sugoroku blurted out laughing.
"On second thought you probably take Yugi's room. He seemed rather 'attached' to you" Sugoroku remarked dryly, trying unsuccessful to find his composure.
Yami hid his beat red face in his hikari's face and carried him upstairs. "It's the right one on the end of the floor" came a shout from downstairs, clearly belonging to Sugoroku.

In Yugi's room Yami looked the door silently, not wanting to wake the sleepy head. Even in the darkness the spirit could make out toys lying on the floor. He shook his head. His hikari was really innocent. Or not. The darkness put his light in the bed and was about to go to the bed on other side of the room. But his hikari had other plans. In his dream Yugi thought he was hugging a big soft teddy bear and he refused to let go of Yami. The older teen was getting slightly hot as his blood rushed to his face, (from embarrassment! Get your head out of the gutter!) trying to match the colour of a tomato. Not having an other option the embarrassed spirit climbed in the bed too. Yugi made a purr-like sound and snuggled closer to the source of warmth. *Oh dear* Yami thought when he felt his hikari's leg between his. He began to sweat, praying that Yugi won't move for the rest for the night. Luckily, Yugi decided that he found the position he was in perfect and stopped moving.
*What do you do to me, little one* he thought silently. He looked down at his charge. *Well, it can't hurt* and with that he placed an arm around the other's waist and allowed himself to drift of to sleep.
(It took all my willpower, not to write any awww's into it!!! But it would have ruined the mood)

The sun was rising and mocked the teen to wake up. 'Why haven't I closed the damn curtains?! It's Saturday after all' he thought annoyed to himself. Yugi tried to crawl deeper in the pillow 'Damn sunlight'. He was about to fall back to sleep, but heard a faint noise near his hear. The youth listened a few moments, finding the sound comforting. He abstinently noted also a faint spicy smell, but pushed this thought aside.
Getting curious what exactly made the sound, he opened his eyes, but all he could see was black. The hikari rubbed his eyes cutely and looked again. Movement beside him caught his attention. He looked up and froze. Yugi Mutou was lying in bad with Yami. The unfortunately smaller and weaker boy tried in his panic to get away, but strong arms around his frame prevented him from doing so.
Yugi took a few deep breaths, hoping to calm down a bit. As Yugi shifted slightly Yami responded with pulling him even closer, pressing him against his leather-clad chest. Yugi was sure he was never in his life in a more awkward position. His heart beat speed up dramatically as he was brought even closer to his protector.
To his rescue and probably his disappointment sleepy purple eyes opened. Yami blinked a few times, adjusting his eyes to the bright light. Yugi smiled, despite the strange position they were in as Yami was adorable at the moment.
"Good morning" Yugi greeted Yami. A growl was his response. 'He isn't a morning person either' Yugi detected amused.
"Yugi! Yami! Breakfast is ready!" Sugoroku shouted from downstairs. "Coming" Yugi answered loudly, much to Yami's discomfort. Yugi jumped out of the bed, already forgotten the awkward position they were in and pulled on Yami's arm until the other boy fell out of the bed with a 'wump.' Yugi laughed playfully and Yami glared at him, clearly annoyed.
"Come on Yami! I want to go out after breakfast. You can wear my clothes" Yugi whined while going to the closet to look for some clothes for them. The hikari found some pants and dark blue shirt and tossed it to Yami. Then he took some for himself and went to the bathroom changing. They both act as if this was a normal day routine.
Sugoroku was already waiting for them patiently. He looked at them bemused. The man has not yet forgotten the 'incident' a few hours ago.
"I have news for you" he told them, looking particularly at the yami. "Spill it out Grandpa" Yugi answered nervously. His Jiichan was up to something ...
"I have phoned some people and from Monday on Yami will attend school with you" he announced proudly. After all how was it able to register a spirit!
Yugi nearly choked, noticing that it wasn't a good idea to take a sip from his orange juice. Sugoroku was bemused at his grandson's reaction. Yugi's emotions on the other side were in turmoil. Was he glad that Yami attends school with him or not. The hikari was still unsure about Yami. He looked at the spirit, who returned the look with a confused one. *What is a school?* he thought curiously.
'Ok Yami attends school with me. This isn't bad, is it? No, nothing bad will happen ... but I can see the girls drooling over him' he thought angrily, but was astonished about this emotion all the same. 'Oh dear' Yugi thought. Well, he could think about this later. 'I want to spend the day with Yami first' he decided. The hikari grinned, even if he didn't understand why this thought made him so happy ...
