Written for JessAngel, same kind of lj challenge as "Let Go." Except this one's happier.
"Shh...we're hiding."
Elena irritably rubbed the back of her head where it had banged against the wall after Reno shoved her forcefully into the closet, crowding into the cramped space after her. There was hardly room for one person in the tiny space, let alone two. Consequently, he was now pressed fully against her in the unrelieved darkness, one forearm resting on the wall beside her ear.
"Why is that, again?" A door slammed, and she sucked in a sharp breath.
"Because, 'Laney," he whispered, "if we get caught snooping around the President's office, we're dead meat." His warm breath stirred the tiny hairs on her neck, and she suppressed a shiver and tried not to notice how surprisingly muscular his chest was.
"God damn it, Reno—" she hissed.
"Shh." He cut her off with a hand over her mouth. She glared at where she thought his eyes might be and thought about biting him, then changed her mind when she realized he'd probably like it. "You talk too much, 'Laney."
Suddenly, there was a thump, followed by a man's voice—obviously Rufus—and a woman's low moan.
"Oh my god..." breathed Elena in horror.
She could feel him grin.
