Sasuke, now on all fours, scrambled over to his mother. His father was lying dead on top of her, she herself lying on a fairly large pool of deep red. Her flowy black hair was now matted in blood, the cheeriness in her eyes now gone. She opened her eyes halfway, and looked on as her son crawled over.
"....Yes Mother?" Sasuke replied, choking on his words.

Silence settles upon them for a momment. A chuckle and footsteps can be heard, at first faint, slowly growing louder. Sasuke doesn't seem to hear this; he was sobbing afterall.
