Moondust and Stardust
By-orange story
Author's Notes-Well it may seem like more Sailor Moon in the beginning but pretty soon it will get to Harry Potter don't worry.
Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry went into his pensieve looking at a long forgotten memory...
A glittering, white kingdom a top the moon winked down at the man at the age fifty now aiming to enter the palace. The guards bowed to him and said "good evening your majesty" as he past them by.
His heels clicked on the marble floor as he headed to his destination. Taking it slow, as if he had all the time in the world, also wearing a truly serene expression, eyes twinkling.
He finally arrived at the head of the hall to a grandly decorated door of stained glass depicting shooting stars and the white moon. The guards again let him passed with the usual bowing and greeting. He nodded in recognition at them as he passed. They then assumed post at the door.
His purple velvet robes trailing behind him. The golden moons and stars on his robes and pointed wizard hat glimmered in the light of the room, as did his half-moon spectacles.
A lady sitting on a plush throne arose at his appearance into the Throne Room. She had silver hair done up in pony-tails trailing down from two buns. A white silk dress and a golden moon on her forehead. She was Queen Serenity.
"My dear, welcome back." She greeted going toward the silver-haired man in front of her. And just then another lady came into the Throne Room. The others turned around to see.
This young lady looked about the ripe age of fourteen with all the looks of her mother only not her pale violet eyes. She had her father's beautiful, twinkling blue ones, as if a hundred stars were dancing in them.
"Oh, Serenity dear, your father is back! Come greet him!" beamed the queen. She rushed over to him and caught him up into an unceremonious hug, "daddy!"
The memory ended there and he was removed from his peaceful past back into the stressful reality. He sighed.
When he turned his face around he had a rare, lone tear run down his face. "I miss you," he said to no one. The portraits that weren't napping glanced at him in worry and confusion.
But just as soon as it had come he regained himself and the tear was gone as if the tear had never really been there at all. The portraits that were just watching went back to their own business unaware of what else to do.
Just then the oaken door to his office was rapped on. Fawkes the red phoenix let out an indignant musical tone which signified he was just disturbed from a nap.
"Enter," and his serene soaked voice echoed on the walls of the office. Professor Minerva McGonagall entered and strode over to him with ruffled hairs sticking out of her green hat at the bottom.
"What is it Minerva?" he asked. "Well, it is almost another term's time upon us should I send out the letters by owl post, Albus?" He nodded and she left the office without another word but an accompanying nod to his to tell she had understood.
As soon as she left for some reason, possibly because of his glance back into the past he, Albus Dumbledore had never felt lonelier.
