Okuni landed softly on a random branch. Standing up, she took a long look at the object in her hand. It was shaped like and rain drop, but it was blood red. The sceptor seemed to dance with life.

"Why have so many demons guarding something this small? It doesn't look that important to me." Okuni said to herself. As she pocketed the stone, she looked around herself. The woods seemed to be swaying to an invisible wind. Sighing, Okuni looked down at herself. Not a single drop of blood rested on her black shirt or pants. Pushing back her dark brown hair from her face Okuni laughed and jumped off the branch. As she landed, a soft crunching sound reached her ears.

Okuni spun around to see someone a little shorter than herself emerge from behind the bushes. She was wearing a trenchcoat-like jacket and holding a very valuable dagger that was crooked near the end of the blade. "Stop right there!" The girl said. Okuni looked at her, almost amused by the sight of this little girl stopping her. Okuni laughed.

"You think you can stop me?"

"Give it back." The girl said.

"I will not."

"If you do not give it back, I will be forced to hurt you." The girl said. Okuni laughed again.

"You wish to protect this sceptor?"

"I wish to defeat you and take back what you have stolen."

"What's your name?"

The girl, getting even more impatient and angry as the time passed, stood in an offensive stance. "My name is Sakamae." She replied. "And I will defeat you, if I must."

Okuni smiled. "Then come and defeat me." Sakamae charged at Okuni. /She's swift.Okuni thought to herself, smiling in satisfaction. However, she countered every one of Sakamae's attacks. When they were both at a stand still, Okuni smiled once again.

"You're very good, Sakamae. But not good enough to defeat me." She pushed Sakamae off her. Sakamae tried to regain her balance, but failed and tripped, falling onto the ground of the forest. Okuni laughed, walking up to Sakamae. With the sharp edge of the sceptor, she slashed Sakamae's cheek, causing blood to drip.

"Too bad, you little girl. But I have the sceptor now." With that, Okuni left.

"Sakamae!" Hiei cried, running up to his fallen daughter. Youko Kurama was with Hiei. Hiei knelt down beside Sakamae and picked her up, holding her in his arms. Youko looked around the forest suspiciously.

Behind the trees, Okuni looked out and saw Youko. She felt her heart pound. Clutching the sceptor tightly in her fist, she said quietly,

"We can finally be together agan... Youko." Thus said, she turned and disappeared into the woods.
